I have seen this mentioned a few times here and I don't understand. How would anyone think telling the dealer to give you $2k so they can keep a truck that still belongs to them will result in anything other than them laughing their asses off as they watch you walk out the door.

Your only real option is buy the truck and resell it so they can't make the markup on it.

well at least you give the option of keeping it as new,you simple tell them that you will purchase it and pay the taxes and registeration and sell it or they can keep it as new! very easy.

Well, shit. Thanks for the replies. I'm getting overly anxious to at least get scheduled. I'm at 200k miles on my current vehicle and sweating anytime I drive anywhere.

I am in the same predicament. My 2002 Ranger is just about to tick over to 210k.

Dealers actually get penalized for not selling orders to the person that ordered them. Hence the drivers license requirement to attach to the order.
