Sorry I think this has been asked before but…. Just got my hybrid XLT, never had auto start / stop.
I read on the forum while back if you run thru the car wash you need to but your truck in a certain mode?? My nightmare is being stuck in the car wash 😵💫. And no there are no touchless washes near me.

Leave your engine on and putting your Mav in neutral is no problem

as already said, make sure auto-hold is off, then put in neutral and then push the 'N' button in center of shifter, will make sure doesn't switch to park if engine shuts off while going thru automatic car wash...

With so much modern tech, the truck should be able to know when it's in a carwash by sensing the gravel being drug across the paint or something.

I didn’t think hybrids have the auto start/stop feature like the Eco’s do.

That's how it goes back and forth between electric and gas. Auto start/stop went mainstream in Hybrids, and then they realized it would be good for ICE's too.

If you have a car wash where you get out of the vehicle putting it into temporary neutral will not work. As soon as you open the door or many other things it automatically puts it in park. I have to ride thru the car wash with my hybrid. Normally I would turn it over to the car wash guys and they vacuum and put it on the track to go thru the car wash. I can't do that anymore.

I’m just used to auto start/stop with ICE being (1) able to be turned off and (2) when used it always shuts off the engine when you stop and always starts the engine when you lift off the brake. The hybrid doesn’t work this way.

Nope. In Hybrid, it's essentially on auto. I don't think it can be disengaged, but people wouldn't want to turn off the electric anyway. Especially with these gas prices.
