Anybody know for certain the actual total number of Mavericks produced and shipped from the factory?
The one thing they have consistently posted is monthly sales.
2021: 13,258
Jan 2022: 6,513
Feb 2022: 4,037

So thus far, 23,808 have been sold (i.e., purchased from a dealer and driven away).

...If memory serves, it's about 10,000 delivered through the end of February.
Pretty good memory! 10,550 so far this year, plus the ones they sold in 2021.

Damn, I might just give up on a this vehicle and that really sucks to say. I wasn't ready to order at launch, and if I had the LUX package is a must for me. Complete shame to think that whenever I do order for '23, it wouldn't be until mid '24 to receive. Which is just stupid.

Right, I couldn't remember how many were sold in 2021. So, if we are almost 24,000 to date, and Tim figures another 32,000 or so to be built this model year, plus let's say another 5,000 or so that were/are already in production/transit but not yet delivered, and you probably have a pretty solid ballpark estimate of 60,000 MY22 Mavericks.

Of course, as I've said repeatedly, that's a moving target based on current production levels. They could go higher, or lower, in the months ahead. But even using this as a middle ground, I'd have to say that's likely to leave Ford 20,000 vehicles short as they close out the model year. Which, again, assuming a constant production level, means the first four months of MY23 production -- AT LEAST -- will be taken up just fulfilling carried over MY22 orders.

Just to put that in perspective, in March of last year Ford produced 84,043 F-150s.

So while I'm sure the Maverick is popular, the big problem is lack of productivity. If they were pumping out 84K Mavericks per month, we wouldn't have wait problems.

Yes, but in March of 2022, Ford will schedule exactly ZERO F-150s. So, the hurt is all around.

I'd wait because no matter what if you want other model or make you'll have the order them too and now your at the back of the line. I ordered 10/4/21 and I have heard nothing. I'm in it for the long haul.
I ordered a First Edition 6/10 and still have heard nothing. It has to be built this year but a Sep build for a June order is just not right. Hope I get some info soon.

too bad they can't produce more per month,I guess the f-150 has more than one factory, as I remember them making almost one million in one model year, I guess that was the good old days??

If our current ‘22 order is converted to a ‘23 order, can changes be made (ie: change to hybrid from EB) without going to the back of the ‘23 ordering line? Thanks

.
Yes

Thanks, Tim and pa_outdoorsman! Tim, when priority codes are pretty deep (like 19) for a hybrid FE, should I start buying a big giant bow for the hood for Christmas '22?
Priority code isn't a factor. When they look to pull a first edition your order will be considered. Priority code is only significant if there are any lower than your within the orders at your dealership.

6/10 RR FE hybrid, tomorrow it will be 9 months of silence.
One question I have now is if I do not receive my Maverick before the my/23's go into production will I get a discount for taking a truck from the previous model year? 🤣

The way I look at it is I'd rather be in line right now than to order a 23 and be to the back of the line at that time. I would get my vehicle a lot sooner if I keep my 22 order that gets moved to 23 then to cancel it and then wait for all the orders to be made which may never happen if it continues like the Bronco did and getting more orders for 23 than you're gonna be way behind the ball game when it comes to having your vehicle built in 2023 model year.

Also the brand manager told me that if there were no constraints they could build all of the current 22 model year orders by the end of 2022 production. But the reason orders will get pushed to 23 is because of the orders that have the Luxury package and the co pilot 360 package and other bed accessories.
Tim, do you still feel that an order with both lux and 360 together stands a better chance of getting built as a 22 than an order that has either lux or 360 separately ?

First Editions are '22 only. No such animule as a '23 First Edition.

I ordered an hybrid XLT lux/360 in August so hoping to see a build date soon. I too have considered cancelling and going with something else. An elk totaled my daily driver last August and I average about a 100 miles a day for work. I need a commuter and not really a truck (I already have an F250) , but every time I start looking at other vehicles nothing else comes close to the gas mileage, options, appeal or price for the money. Since I'm an August order I'm pretty sure I'll get my truck by this summer, but seeing all the folks who ordered in June and July that are still waiting for a build date is pretty depressing and I feel their pain. Like others I was told by the end of the year when I placed the order. Silly me for assuming they meant the end of 2021!
Hang in there! Got a message that my Hybrid Lariat has been shipped. My friend and I both ordered Hybrid Lariats with 360, and Lux packages. Ordered on June 28th, and mine on July 5th from different dealers in Florida. Truck was to be built week of 3/18, his a week earlier. Long story short, picked up mine today (3/9/22, and his is waiting at his dealer since the end of Feb. He's on vacation in California, and will pick his up next week! Yours will be home sooner then you think. P.S. this is a great hybrid to own in this day and age.

Yes. On an XLT there is not mention on the Ford Memo to advise this to be amended. On the Lariat, it is one of the last things that should be amended. I've been telling customers to leave it.
