You're leaving out the rest of the sentence. Something about supply constraints. You can't build something if you don't have the parts for it.

Do you think I liked waiting eight months to get my truck? Think I enjoyed having to register the piece of crap truck I was using for another year and paying the cost to get it to pass smog?

Hell no.

The difference between me and you is that you're complaining despite knowing about the supply chain constraints that exist in this world and I realize that they will screw things up, including the delivery of my truck.

But then, you're so smart that you know more than the engineers and logistics specialists at a $40 billion company.

What's your solution?
My solution is to read all of your posts and gain the knowledge of the car building world and then learn how to apologize and support a multi billion dollar company that screwed up the Bronco Order Process, screwed up the Maverick order process and screwed up the Lightening order process. Thanks for posting🤪

You're like the drunk at the bar screaming "hit the ball" when they're watching a baseball game and the team they root for isn't scoring.

The only difference is you're screaming "build my truck "

And all that screaming won't do one goddamn thing to either get a hit or build your truck.

You never will be. Everyone is out to get you and it's their fault. You'll get your truck when you get it and there ain't a goddamn thing you can do about it.

I hope you wait another six to eight months and that you get to see hundreds of people get their truck before you.

It'll serve you right.

Damn dude, relax. Some folks have a victim mentality. I have to wait for mine. It will likely be 10 months by the time I get it. The registration and inspection came and went on "Lucky" my 2008 chevy HHR.

It is named Lucky because my local boneyard is full of these now. It has a cracked windshield, lower control arm bushings are shot, burns oil 2 qts every 3k, power mirrors dont work. Turn signals dont cancel, and cruise control stopped working. Oh and its loaded with hail dents from 2 hail storms. Ya it answers to the name Lucky.

When the Maverick finally shows up I will park Lucky and do the necessary repairs to make it road legal again as a spare vehicle, but for now I am driving with a 2 month out of date inspection because I need this car to drive every day.

Point is, I'm not complaining about any of it, even though I'm driving a pretty rough shape vehicle. I have a 2007 mustang GT I special ordered. It took 3 months. But that was 2007. We didnt just come out of the covid plandemic. Microchips were in abundant supply, and cars 15 years ago didnt use as many as now. That car is a pleasure vehicle. A fun weekend type car. It's not a daily driver.

Supply chain issues, and constraints. This is the way of the world right now with a global economy. Ford mentioned to drop lux, 360, any of the bed liners, and all the JC Whitney add on bullshit out of the ford accessories catalog that you could easily install in your driveway in an afternoon.

I went with a straight XLT, Eco, 4K, FS spare, and in cab power inverter. Mine has a Vin and tentative build week. As a matter of fact they moved the build week up closer by 1 week. Anybody who has the entire JC Whitney catalogs worth of dealer add ons thrown at it, and the extra options ford said to drop, has no reason to bitch. That's a lot of extra parts to build a special order vehicle. Hell, it's still a lot of parts just to build a base XL with no extras.

I really not a victim, I am however very disappointed in the actions or lack thereof from Ford, so I piss and moan, some readers need to understand it’s not a character fault, it’s life.. I don’t need a truck, or a new car for that matter. Your build was a smart one, I’m sure it will be a great vehicle for you. I could have dropped the extras if I really thought that the Maverick would be my best vehicle ever, but I ordered what I wanted, if I get it, great, if not I may pick up a new Ridgeline or just keep my 18 RAV4 hybrid. Good luck with your truck.

Oh, how cute. Just like the drunk at the end of the bar screaming "hit the ball" you go to insults.

Because you ain't got facts.

Typical.

To the block list you go. The only thing you're captain of is pulling crap directly out of your ass so you just ain't worth my time, little boy.

Did your contractor tell you it would take a year or more for the unit? Because my dealer told me a few months. Being told the truth and not being told the truth, or being told anything is quite different. Ford has lied, and mis-represented the building of the Maverick for months... Remember the email they sent out about first in, first out regardless of allocations.. That was and is a FLAT OUT LIE.
My dealer said "3 to 4 months" until DELIVERY mid-Oct 2021. Total lie. I'm a first time Ford customer, after driving mostly Honda's for 40 years, and that was not a good way to start a relationship. Hopefully the truck is reliable when it shows up - I have a build date of late Aug.

One interesting tidbit from last night's YouTube live stream with @fordvideoguy was the number of Mavericks Ford intends to produce this month. Tim said it is 5,400 units, which is down from February and also down from a previously stated goal of 6,000.

As Tim noted in the video, if you assume roughly the same production level for the six months remaining in MY22, Ford will produce another 30,000-32,000 Mavericks before switching over to MY23 production.

Bottom line for guys like me who ordered in January: not optimistic about receiving a truck this year. Granted, none of us know exactly how many orders Ford has, but I have to believe the number was FAR in excess of 45,000-50,000, which looks like the total number of MY22 Mavericks Ford will produce.
That many?! Well, dammit, where's mine? Coming up on 10 months now but I'm not expecting it till perhaps November. Sigh....

Allocations are sadly still a thing, BEYOND constraints, despite Ford saying otherwise.

My late October order for a loaded Lariat with every constraint imaginable got a VIN & early August scheduled build week back in early July, clearly ahead of older orders with equal or even less constraints.

So yeah, whoever penned the "FIFO" communication was either misinformed, or outright lied. Either represents poor corporate business.

We’ve been seeing that Lariats loaded with options get built ahead of lower optioned XLT’s likely a higher profit margins.

I agree with you - ordered mine on October 5, 2021 and still no information or email to when can expect a build date- I'm starting to look elsewhere - Being a Ford person no respect for there customers these days
I got tired of waiting for my maverick so I went ahead and bought another vehicle and then I get an email from Ford yesterday saying that my vehicle was going to be built the week of August 15, 2022.

18 months???? Geeez, there is no way I'm staying committed to that timeline. Life is too short.
It would be nice just to know a time line- when ordered in 10/5/21 stated 6-8 weeks - maybe should be held to constructions standards- not finished by certain date start deducting for everyday late-
