I spoke with a Ford rep with their Maverick support dept last week and he told me if I didn’t get an email from Ford by 3/7 then my order wouldn’t be fulfilled. He said I would still hold my place in line for when they start building 2023 mavericks but that I wouldn’t be getting a 2022. I asked what my incentive would be to hold out and wait and he said at this point the only people holding out for their orders are die hard Ford fans.

They're going to be running 2022 Maverick production until at least September of 2022. So far we've scheduled production out to April of 2022. You mean to tell me that there's going to be ZERO production between May and September?

Sounds like a ridiculous rumor to me.........

I’m just relaying what I was told when I called Ford. I got to their customer service and when I said I had questions about the Maverick I ordered the rep said she had to transfer me to a Maverick-specific help dept. the guy I got connected to told me what I stated in my initial post. I’m sure they will be producing the truck beyond March. But he literally told me I wouldn’t get my 2022 Maverick I ordered last summer if I hadn’t received an email from Ford by 3/7. He cited the shortage of parts and did a lot of apologizing but he literally told me I won’t be getting my truck if I don’t get the Ford email by 3/7. Believe it or not I don’t really care. I’m just sharing what I was told.

Wouldn't be the first time a Ford "rep" was wrong..........

I love it when the word comes from some random marketing rep instead of a Ford press release. That could be why there is literally NO cars/trucks (minus eco sport?) being scheduled this week. We’ll see. The way they do this sounds so fishy. Ripe for money under the table to get yours built!

I just called Ford and the representative said the same thing about the 3/7 cut off. This is bullshit as I ordered July 21st.

Not questioning what you were told, but I do not beleive this to be accurate information for even a second. Not just because I am waiting for mine to be scheduled (and so I have reason to hope it being inaccurate info), but also because they have only scheduled thru April build dates so far! I don't care about how restricted or limited or "unknown future supply" some parts are, there is NO WAY Ford has thrown in the towel and decided to literally cease production from May-late October when the 2023 model year starts up production.

Also, as I said in an earlier post to someone, if the cutoff was 3/7, we would have seen some notation of "balance out scheduling" on the chart. That is what Ford does when they stop a model for the year. I don't imagine they are trying to hide this info from us, since apparently reps are telling people when they call. It doesn't make sense when you look at the larger picture.

O.K., I called Ford back just to make sure. The other representative told me that this information was not accurate and he also put me on hold to verify with his supervisors and colleagues. The other representative's name was Matthew. According to the second representative, he said he must have confused this with another vehicle. So if you get Matthew, request to speak with another representative.

I agree with everything you said, as it made no sense at all. I only called Ford because of an earlier post here and must have spoken to the same person. Admittedly, I did respond to the rep that this is "bull$%&", and he even told me not to use profanity eventhough I wasn't directing it at him. I didn't respond too well to that. I am just in the same boat as all of us here that have been getting crickets. I'm really glad I called back to dispell this rumor. Again, if you speak with Matthew at Ford, request a different agent.

BTW, when did you place your order?

This seems extremely fishy, since Ford put out a release about two weeks ago saying that some MY22 orders would be pushed to MY23, but that they expected to continue delivering MY22 trucks to customers "into the fall." This was also confirmed by @fordvideoguy through the Maverick brand manager at Ford.

So, it will be interesting to see how this plays out...

Please tell me that is just sarcasm as I'm still boiling a bit. I'm hoping that Tim FordVideoGuy will respond and clarify anything that we are missing.

They are confused, it's the Bronco that is closed out yesterday has nothing to do with Maverick.
