I'm trying to talk my wife into getting the Kia EV6 as her commuter car. She only had a 16 mile round trip and her work has a charging station in the back where she parks. It would be great to use for our trips that average 150-200 total miles. The Maverick will be the small boat towing, mulch transporting, and trash taking vehicle. Before I found the Maverick (and before used prices went CRAZY), I was looking to get a used 2019 Rav4 XSE in 2022. I figured I could find one coming off lease for a decent price. When I found the Maverick and I could get what I wanted for $10k less then the new Rav4, I was sold. I need a car by December 2022, and my biggest worry was it coming in too soon. Fast forward 6.5 months later. No build date, and with my configuration, a good chance to be pushed to a 2023 model.
So I started looking around. I'm leaning towards a Kia EV6 at the moment. I know the Rav4s are hard to get, especially in the XSE trim. The EV6s are brand new, but several dealers "think" they could have one for me within a month or 2. I'll pay MSRP or I'll walk.
