So when I bought mine off the lot, I ended up driving my car (traditional automatic with a stick interface), my old Dodge (column shifter, delicious), and then the Maverick with the dial. The dial felt so weird and I was with you in instantly hating it.
Fast forward a few months and my opinion is completely changed, I love the damned thing. Get into the truck to go somewhere and I never have to even glance down to see where I'm at.

- Need to go in reverse? Twist clockwise one click (its pretty tactile, you can feel each click)
- Need to go forward? Give that dial a big slap clockwise - it won't cycle around so once it's in drive, it's in drive!
- Arrived at your destination? Slap that shit counterclockwise one big spin and you know you're in park.
