Not true, 3-Peak Mountain Snowflake tires have NOT been "tested and proven capable of performing under extreme winter weather driving conditions.", as you say!
Testing is done on packed snow only and braking, turning and ice traction are NOT part of the test. In order to earn the 3-peak symbol...
According to the factory manual:
" The cargo and bed lamp illuminate with the courtesy lamps. They can also be illuminated by using the truck bed lamp switch. "
As I had mentioned yesterday, it seems my memory was playing tricks on me. :)
I guess so, lol! Thanks for the replies!
The whole thing stems from not having any interior or cargo lights for almost three months during the darkest time of the year: the Maverick would go into deep sleep mode right away after driving. The interior lights would only work with the ignition...
I need a sanity check: I have had my Maverick XLT Hybrid for two years. I am sure that the cargo light always came on whenever I opened the tailgate, and has now stopped working (still comes on with the doors). The dealer says that it doesn't come on automatically when opening the tailgate...
I own a 2022 hybid. In the past few months I have noticed a shimmy in the front end when applying power, mostly in the 60-80 km/h (35-50mph) range. It is not there at high, divided highway speeds. It got really bad this past week, after a long highway drive. Any time I applied power there...
Have a look at my August 23rd update (two posts above), I'm convinced it's just a "fat finger" thing. The lock is so close to the release handle that if you unlatch and push the door open at the same time (usually when in a rush), you wind up locking the driver's door.
It's been 10 months now since my October 2022 update to this thread, and I stand by what I said back then. I have been more careful when opening the door and the problem has not re-ocurred (ok, maybe once). Only one door locks, not all, so the Maverick can still be entered. I remain...
Hi, I have a pair of unused front factory all-weather mats for sale for a Mav Hybrid. My wife didn't realise I had ordered them with the truck and bought me a pair of Weathertech mats as a present.
I'm located in Udora, northeast of Newmarket, but travel to the Wasaga Beach area regularly and...
I have a brand-new pair of Maverick Hybrid winter mats for sale. Pickup only, located Northeast of Newmarket but can also arrange for Wasaga Beach or Peterborough pickup. Asking $120.
After reading some threads about others having the same problem, I started to suspect that it was not locking itself, but that I was inadvertently locking it.
First thing I noticed was that it was only the driver's door that ever locked, the other three stayed unlocked. Second, I never heard...
I'm having the same issue with my XLT hybrid; it's very annoying! The driver's door will randomly, without command, lock. It is more likely to do it if the keys are in the ignition, but will also do so without. Always the driver's door only, the other three will remain unlocked.
99.999% of buyers feel that an unexpected, uncommanded locking of the doors, with your keys inside, is a benefit? Where do you get this data from?
I have owned around 100 cars and have never had one do this before, including my first Maverick, which was also an XLT Hybrid!
As for the Ford...
Not quite: I have an XLT, no start button, have to put the key in the ignition like in the good 'ol days. Fob is hanging on the key. If i leave the key in the ignition (with the fob), the doors lock themselves, essentially locking you out. I know the keypad code, but someone else using it won't.
I have an annoying issue with my Maverick and I'm not sure whether I have a glitch or this is a design feature:
If I leave my keys in the ignition (which I often do for brief periods around jobsites), the doors seem to lock automatically after a short while. Fortunately I had programmed a code...
No, I haven't investigated it. It did rain pretty hard for a while; there was a small wet spot in the bed off to one side where two panels meet. Whether it leaked at the joint or was carried over from the side I cannot say. Others who own tri-fold covers of a different brand say that minor...
Last week I ordered and received (in three days from placing the order) a hard tri-fold cover from Bison in Ajax, Ont. $750 shipped anywhere in Canada. I installed it on Saturday, it seems just like any other tri-fold, even my friend who is a parts manager at a Ford dealership said "it looks...
