Part of the change in feel might be due to the difference in weight between steel and aluminum wheels (assuming that changed between the two truck models you drove). Anyone know what the wheel/tire weights are for the available maverick options?
For arguments sake lets assume that an f150 weighs 6000 lbs. It has an advertised tow rating of 14,000 lbs. A 3700 lbs Mav with the same ratio would have a tow rating over 8000 lbs. Just saying.
Been driving for over 54 years and never owned a prevoius vehicle with auto shutoff. Have driven rentals in the past with this feature but none with as seamless and barely noticable restart as with the Mav system. Personally I like it and my only complaint is that it doesn't reset when creaping...
First tow a couple days ago using a U-haul 4×7 motor cycle trailer to move a very heavy cabinet (probably over 200 lbs with doors and shelves removed). Much too heavy for two people to easily lift into the bed even though it's no more than a 30" lift. The trailer was much lower with a built-in...
Sorry, ignore the above. The report stated N2 did leak faster as would be expected. My excuse is that I just got back from the gym and my O2 level was depleted.

So then pure N2 (which has a lower molecular weight than O2) should leak faster than a mix of N2 and O2 not slower. Sort of blows a hole in the report. Hmmm, I wonder if instead of leaking the O2 is simply reacting and forming...
That's the story line we're give. My 12 year old tires with 6700 miles look like new on the outside but I'm told they need to be replaced because they are rotting from the inside (for the scolds out there I bought the car last November and it was drinen about 2 miles to fill the tank before...
Has anyone looked at tire life with nitrogen? If my logic is correct the o2 density with 30 psi air is 3 times that of atmospheric. How many times have you heard that 10 year old tires may look fine on the outside (subject to 14.7 psia air with about 3 psia from O2) but are rotted from the...
While setting at a light with foot on the brake i tried turning the wheel to check the effort with the engine off. To my surprise the engine restarted. Tried a couple more times with same results. Only took a couple degrees of movement of the wheel and moderate force. No idea why its setvup this...
