We are all screwed. Do not expect any Hybrid scheduling today.

Ford executives are targeting high profit builds. They stood up and said so.
Where do you think that leaves us?
Only Maverick builds gonna be scheduled are those that have all parts on hand right now. Parts and chips will be dedicated to profit making models.

Come on Ford, tell me that is not the truth!

My first order was placed 6-12-21, second one mid August. Both are Hybrid Lariat Lux with 360.
Hybrid builds are being pushed back already, why should we hope for any good news today?
Looks like our hybrid orders will be pushed to MY 2023 if we get them at all. Then there is no lock on the pricing once they get sent to next model year.

I really WANT my orders but I am lucky enough that I do not NEED them.

This bull crap delay stuff from Ford has soured me on a brand that I have supported since the 60's

I think this factors in to why Ford cut off Maverick orders rather than trying to increase production to meet demand, but Ford isn't going to completely abandon Maverick customers. At some point the bad PR would be too damaging. Why bother creating the Maverick in the first place if it's not profitable enough? We have to keep in mind Ford's statement was targeted at stockholders and stock analysts who are sensitive to company profitability.

That would spoil all the fun. People need to do that in order to reduce their anxiety while they wait. It's a public service.


In any case, I have basically zero chance of getting an email this week but I will refresh my email window obsessively nonetheless. And complain about it here.

Some MY22's will no doubt get delivered Late summer early fall. I sure hope ford gives some sort of kick back for those of us with a 1 year old truck that we purchase.
