Any idea what the wait times are on EB AWD 4K ordered right now?

I ordered at the beginning of Dec. For $3,000 I may be willing to go to the back of the line.
I was just quoted 12-15 months -(

Wow. Was that from granger? Was that without a lot of upgrades? I've heard that an XLT 4wd 4k without lux, bedliners, etc. are considerably shorter. It doesn't seem possible that they would be delivering 2022 models well into 2023.

I may just put in an order with granger and if I lose the $100 deposit, so be it. If when the pick up date arrives on my current order and the granger order doesn't have a build date, I'll just lose the $100. Or if I have a build date and it's not too far off. I'll hold out.

Just emailed them about placing an order. Hope to hear from them soon. Too good of a deal to pass up.

well, right or wrong i have cancelled my hybrid lariat order, and after much pondering as to HOW the truck will be used i have now ordered an XL AWD! Part of what sealed the XL deal for me was there is now a cruise control option (and a good one) for about $250
Wheres that at? I didn't see it on fords build and price virtual vehicle builder for XL. Only copilot 360

If you've ordered a 2022, you're going to get a 2022. They've been pretty clear about that. It is not outside of the realm of possibilities that they push some, but it is far from "very likely". Part of the reason for the recent price increase is because Ford is now paying more for chips to keep up with production.
Allocations are another consideration.

Forgive my ignorance, but if next October Ford stops building 2022 models and switches to building 2023 models, how is it possible that delivery of a 2022 Maverick could be 12-15 months from now?

It wont be possible. Some time in august, they switch to building the 2023 models. If you do not have a vin number issued from Ford by the day they switch to the 2023 model year, then it will be a 2023. Granger Ford told me if this happens, then at that time you have 2 options.

1. Because they cannot get you a 2022 they can refund your $100

2. You let the $100 ride, and They will honor the $3000 off MSRP on a 2023, and you go back through the reorder system and spec out a 2023 vehicle. And get $3000 off whatever the current MSRP is at that time just like right now.

$3000 off MSRP is a screaming deal if you dont need the vehicle right away. And I dont. You have to base all that on weather or not you need it now, gotta just have it now, or can wait it out. I can wait it out.

My car works just fine it's just 14 years old. I'm gonna keep driving it until my maverick comes in. If it ends up being a 2023 model, so be it. They may end up offering different colors, options, packages, maybe a different color interior (charcoal gray plastics, instead of dark blue would be nice), different exterior colors, dropping the ones that didnt sell well. Bigger more capable sync 4 and little dash cubby next to the sync 3 goes away, maybe even cruise control as a stand alone option on the XL.

I am sure fords marketing people are lurking all over these forums. They dont live in a vacuum. They are taking note from people about what customers want and dont want. I woulda went with a hybrid if it offered AWD and a plug in feature. If mine doesnt make it by 2023 and they offer a plug in hybrid w AWD, or even a plug in FWD hybrid for 2023, I will really seriously rethink my order when I reorder a 2023 and will likely select a hybrid model.

I think the 12 months is probably a conservative estimate. Hopefully by next fall we'd see most of these. I'd imagine we'd see a bigger percentage of orders picked up as retail orders get filled.

Well I'm in no hurry. I got a surgery coming up at the end of january. This is gonna kill my overtime at work for about 4 weeks. If you can put my order at the back of the line so some of these fine folks on the forum can get theirs faster, then let's do it.

Glad to see all these new orders. Maybe they will help my Sept hybrid get scheduled a bit sooner (I have no idea how allocations work).

Emailed Granger saying I wanted to do this yesterday. Received a reply with an order summary showing $3000 off MSRP at 10:30 AM today. Replied with DL image and insurance card. What more could you ask for, people?
