My wife's hybrid (not a Maverick, but for this ridiculous FUD it hardly matters) was 180k miles in and showing no signs of needing a new battery when some dumbdumb crashed into and totaled it.

why would you have to replace the hybrid battery that soon? Also, it's a teeny tiny thing barely more capacity than a car battery (1.1kWh).

I guess you have to compare it to the cost of replacing your turbo at 100,000 miles.
You can replace five or six turbos for the cost of one battery but the battery should be good for close to a quarter million miles, or more.
I religiously turn off my auto stop/start hoping to get my turbo to trade up time just before 100,000 miles.

Buy the Mavbrid and get back to us in about ten years.
Faafo.

I just bought a second used two year old 400 AH Bosch battery for my trike for a C- note.
A new one is $800. My original is five years old and seems to still be at 100% capacity.

It’s a highly modified Terra Trike Rambler All Terrain. I ride the gravel forest roads.
The motor saves my knees.
Battery range on Big Frog is about 15-20 miles. Always in turbo mode but the down hill runs are freakin cool.
I’m gonna die !

First of all, what makes you think you have to replace the HVB at 100K? Most hybrids go over 200K without losing much degrading. Next, if you look on EBay, used HVB batterys from low mileage wrecks, sell for $1000-$1400. It's the batterys from EV's that cost $12000 and up!

The Hybrid-unique components like the HVB and all its cooling/heating systems are all covered under the 8/100k warranty. If you want to estimate how long the HVB will actually last, take a look at the NY or Chicago taxis, that routinely are listed as running and in good working order at 500k. I would not be suprised at seeing some making it upwards of 800k before needing an easy replacement of a $1k battery by then. Toyota Prius HVB packs are now down to $600, but they are only aircooled and a bit cheaper to remanufacture.

Ya - fake news.
To even hear a slight majority "most" means it was bad info.
Avoid that site for information.

Likely a robot answer that is as accurate as its flawed data source.
On a more serious impact note, the FAA is "upgrading" its air traffic control system to use AI.
