Not a touchless but one we've used for years. Likely a rock stuck in the roller as you can still feel the glass shards where it hit. Hot water did the rest.

I have State Farm. my agent highly suggested I add the additional coverage for a zero deductible on the windshield. The increase was like $6 a month. I’ve had to replace two windshields, one on my Bronco Sport and one on my Maverick. the additional glass rider was well worth the money.Glass deductible is too high to bother. A conversation I need to have with my Agent.
This is my first broken windshield in over 30 years of driving. Part of the reason why I'm not completely torn up about it. Even at $6 a month, I'm still ahead even paying out of pocket.I have State Farm. my agent highly suggested I add the additional coverage for a zero deductible on the windshield. Was there a Truck in front of You? If so maybe a rock flew out of the bed when the drier came on?The chip came from the carwash. I plan to have entire thing replaced.
X2, on the unlimited monthly car washes and no problems!!I run mine thru the carwash probably twice a week (unlimited monthly subscription plan), and while I've watched the hood deform a LOT, never had a concern about the windshield. No insurance coverage?

And be sure to MAKE SURE there will be no increase in premium despite them saying to the contrary. Mine with Plymouth Rock did that. As a result, I fired both the agent and insurance company!Do that. I went from a $200 deductible to $0 for like $12-$15 every 6 months.

They should be responsible for damages caused by car wash. I always use touchless.Wife took the truck to the carwash. They cracked my windshield and said it was our problem.

If you have an early 2023 Lariat with the Lux package, you may have the heated wipers windshield on your truck. Look for the symbol of the heated wiper lower corner of windshield drivers side by Ford trademark. Later trucks didn't come with that option. In talking with my wife, seems the carwash place did take a claim. Said they would email or call for next steps. Given that the crack is in view of the lane centering camera, the entire thing will have to be replaced. Safelite quoted me roughly $1,000 for the job.
