Stealth onboard air compressor install in bed.

Finally got to this project:
VAIR 12v 23amp 2CFM (enough to seat a tubeless Mtb tire)

Hard mounted into the bed cubby
Wired directly to the 12v battery under the rear seat in the hybrid. I installed a 30amp fuse inline to the compressor. Routed the wiring along the factory harness above the fender well, and thru one of the body vents into the backseat.

Nice and clean fits like a glove!

You need to put a wire grommet on the outbound wire hole. Come spring you are going to have a wasp nest the size of the compressor.

I am contemplating adding a 1 gallon tank underneath the cubby inside the rear fender. This is looking up at the bottom of the cubby with a plastic panel removed under the truck. That sheet metal would be a perfect spot to mount a reservoir, strong enough to hold it also hidden and out of the way.

Butyl tape / gum will work as a quick DIY. Mounting holes will leak too. Not sure how you fused it...grab some tesa 51026 / 51036 to protect the wires from the sharp edges.

That looks perfect. The only reason why I went with one I have is that I needed 120 max PSI support at the time. I don't need it now and probably would get something smaller but I already have this one..haha.
