Butyl tape / gum will work as a quick DIY. Mounting holes will leak too. Not sure how you fused it...grab some tesa 51026 / 51036 to protect the wires from the sharp edges.
BTW, for the next person wanting to do this. The factory subwoofer connector is a Yazaki part. You can buy the connectors and terminals and make an adapter instead of cutting the wires. Search for "Yazaki YESC Kaizen 1.5" to find the whole catalog.
How is bin access impacted? I had to remove my ProLineX box as the lower seat cushion would not sit down correctly and the rubber stand offs would rub the box when I lowered it. Eager to get a 10" sub back in vs the 8 I have now.
This is interesting. I have a similar issue post brake job. I reused the OEM slider pins. Seems to be loudest from front left. Will replace pins and see what happens. Any update from your side?
Brakes should last longer on a hybrid due to regen. Unfortunately, you'll still have to replace your brakes at some point. Stability control, exposure to elements, and emergency braking will wear them down.
I got new tires at pretty much the same time (Falken Wildpeak AT3W), so not sure what all contributes to the improvement. Will do some more experiments tomorrow.
Have about 100 miles on them, bite point back to normal. Pads modulate like stock pads and get more aggressive the harder you stomp the pedal. Would use again.
Got them installed today. Have about 25 miles. Bite point is different - expect it will tighten up after 100 miles or so. Not disappointed, would buy again. Had 53k on stock brakes.
Agree that 2 & 3 look strange. The harness in that area should have some type of protection on the wire. Insulation does not protect against stones, etc. Blue tape is odd too - that's $0.10 in extra cost for no apparent reason.
Edit: mine looks the same.
