Well, the whole point of this thread is to solve that problem, so instead of whining about it to us why don't you try to help us solve the problem? The post above yours is asking if other people can attempt to write to the ABS module.
Are you able to swap modes?

No problem. It would be great if some others could give it a shot...that would determine if it's an issue with the maverick modules or if it's just something off on my PC/adapter.
I've had some luck with my F-350, when it doesn't keep disconnecting from the vehicle on it's own.. As soon as I get some time, I'll see what I come up with.

Has anyone figured out if we can adjust the tire size for the speedo? Is there only a specific range that will work?

I haven't had a Ford before, but in the VW world you could never write anything to the ABS module without "logging in" first with a specific code. I believe on the ones I worked on it was the same code across all ABS modules.

Anyone know if Ford does something similar?

Ok! Got it fired up and poked around a bit. My first goal is to enable sport mode on my FX4 (and hopefully figure out the settings for enabling/disabling all modes on any trim). There's a bit different structure for drive modes from the F150 and from the new Bronco, and I haven't found anyone on the 2020 Escape or Bronco Sport forums that's figured it out for theirs.

Could anyone with a non-FX4 maverick post their VIN? With that we can read the original as-built settings using the ford service website. Alternatively you can go to https://www.motorcraftservice.com/AsBuilt/, put in your VIN, and tell me what it tells you for line 760-04-03.

Thanks!

Edit: I am dumb, there's a list of VINs like 4 posts up. Looks like FX4 is 0000 0001 E150 and non-FX4 is 0000 0000 6BD9.

On the F150/Super Duty one of the first values is used to set which configuration of drive modes that vehicle has. However, on the new Bronco fullsize, it looks like each mode can be toggled on and off individually. (https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/threads/2021-bronco-forscan-thread.844/page-15#post-963234)

It seems like there's a 0 for both FX4 and non-FX4 in the first block so likely we are just looking at the last couple characters on the Maverick.
I'm glad you found that VIN list. Sorry if I buried it.

Someone on the Forscan forum suggested using v2.3.41, but on that version it says it can't recognize the vehicle. So, this is where we are at:

From experience, no. But of course, it's highly not recommended until it's been mapped out.

Loaded it up tonight and was snooping around the modules but unlike my F-150 there's no "easy mode" obviously since its so new...With that being said has anyone actually figured anything out yet? I would like to disable auto/start stop and the hyper flash from my lights I installed like I had also done on my F-150
Autostop eliminator has one for the Maverick $99.99

I'm really hoping the turn signal hyperflash is fixed soon. I really want to upgrade to some LEDs without having to deal with resistors. I've always coded that stuff out on my BMWs with great success.

I already went with the autostop eliminator route for that as I don't want it permentantly disabled, I just wanted it to remember my last setting. The device seems to do that just great with no odd messages on the dash. Every start up it just says auto stop was disabled by switch, same as hitting the button yourself, then never has another symbol or warning.

Would love to know if it's possible to add Eco and Sport modes to the FX4.
I definitely interested in getting Sport mode on my FX4. The Normal mode keeps the RPMs at like 1200 during cruising at 15-40 mph and the engine is bogging at that speed. I can't actually believe that this is where the transmission should be at these speeds/load.

I can't imagine what an Eco mode would be like and Tow mode keeps the revs too high for casual driving.

It would be great if one other person could attempt to replicate the problem I'm having...then we would know if it's a Forscan issue or a my computer issue.
