Might not be the right area, but since there is a lot of talk about FX4 drive modes, figured I would throw this info out there.

I ordered my second Maverick yesterday. XLT, FX4, Lux, 360. They dropped the spray in bedliner, but have added Sport mode in the package listing. I will screen shot and attach my order form. On my first order, Sport mode was not listed. Maybe they have removed Slippery and added Sport on newer builds?

It would be great if one other person could attempt to replicate the problem I'm having...then we would know if it's a Forscan issue or a my computer issue.
Just ordered the ELM OBDII connector, should have it in tomorrow. I'll get FORScan and see what I can see when I next get the chance!

Ok, some sorta-progress. Another person on the facebook group got a beta version that has better Maverick support. I'm able to see more modules and there's some new human-readable configuration pages for the BCM and IPC.

Ford Maverick Has anyone used ForScan yet? 1640735559097

HOWEVER, the drive mode write for the ABS module still has the same problem as before.

Now that I know to not use the Forscan forums, I've sent my logs and an email to the Forscan support team. Hopefully they are able to work on a solution. In the meantime I think there's a few things I can try to mess with. Will post up anything successful.

Are you able to toggle configurations/selections from that screen, or do you still have to change the code?
I tried the "police dark mode" for fun and was able to execute a write successfully to the BCM.

However, I tried to make a couple changes in the IPC using the "easy" configurator as well as editing the values directly and both attempts failed. There's a guy on the facebook group that HAS successfully edited stuff in the IPC using this Forscan version, so I'm not sure what's going on.

There’s a guy on FB who has installed an escape steering wheel and unlocked cruise control on his XL.
I was going to say the same thing. I'm hoping we can get some sort of a write up because I think that's now one of the first things I want to do.

I would be right there with you, but I don't have a truck yet. Will def dive into programming. But it looks like you guys are already on the way there.

Ok so, I fed a dozen or so VINs through the as-built site and the comparison tool.

Here are the 4 consistent differences between FX4 and non-FX4 vehicles that I could find. There are a LOT of IPC differences between XLT and XLT FX4, but non-FX4 Lariats also have them so I'm guessing they are mostly for the upgraded dash cluster and those have been filtered out.

It it still possible that one of these is a coincidence. These also have the checksums included on them.

IPC 720-07-02

8500 38ED (non FX4)
0700 083F (FX4)

ABS 760-04-03 *I think this is most likely the drive mode select but need to test

0000 0000 6BD9 (non FX4)
0000 0001 E150 (FX4)

ABS 760-05-01

026F (non FX4)
0572 (FX4)

754-08-01 *not sure if we even have access to this

0506 0505 057E (non FX4)
0506 0605 057F (FX4)

When I get a response from Forscan on my issues writing to the ABS module I'll post an update.
