lol, we're doing this again? new month, same crap.
We've been over what the constraint numbers mean every time these get posted. FFS. Next time we post a constraint, someone link an explanation or something to Tims post.
EVERY SINGLE TIME.
The craziest part of the dealer mark ups and "market adjustments" is that the vehicles still cost the dealer EXACTLY THE SAME to get from ford as they would have if the car market weren't so weird. It's dealers being greedy and trying to make extra money on BS charges.
Even if you call ford...
If they built 6300 in November and only sold 2500, where are these trucks? We know there are some sitting in lots awaiting transit, but how many are at dealers?
I thought production for dealer stock was supposed to be very low. There are either a lot of trucks in transit, a lot of orders that...
it's got a turbo, it makes woosh noises, it'll be faster. It also gets decent gas mileage if you do any highway driving. The hybrid really isnt that great if you do anything other than city only.
Edit: it'd be nice if i could spell.
If this used more than 1 bolt per side, then it might do something. Single bolts on each side are basically pinned connections and it can rotate at each connection, and there's probably a bit of play at each bolt.
Strut tower braces that do not triangulate to the firewall of the vehicle add no appreciable stiffness. The fact that the maverick strut towers are basically part of the firewall/cowl renders this bar redundant.
It was just speculation on how that one poster reached 25% and 35ish. There wasn't enough information to really figure anything out.
I just keep seeing a lot of confusion about COVP/ROVP and people thinking they made orders when maybe they aren't confirmed. Who knows what the truth is until...
Sounds like it's 25% of the booked 35000 units, or 8750 vehicles. That's more believable.
I wonder if the preorder surge didn't directly translate to ROVP/COVP verified orders like we assume it did.
Plot twist: Ford still decides what will and won't sell regardless of customer desires.
Think about this: if this weren't a new model launch during a chip shortage, Ford would probably not be taking pre-orders and you'd be buying whatever package combination a dealer chose to order for them to...
Wait, what. Which ones? I'm seeing a lot under 2k, but that's not that unreasonable.
If the Maverick can do 1500 between people and cargo, and the driver weighs 200 and drives alone, it can haul 1300lbs making it effectively a 1/2 ton pickup.
It's this one. To understand what you get, you need to look at the lower trims and determine the differences. Making assumptions leads to disappointments
