Has anyone found one of these bottle jack adaptors that has the pinch weld slot? I either seem to be able to find a bottle jack adaptor that has a hole for the jack pad to fit into but then it doesn’t have the slot and if you find the adaptors with the slot for the pinch weld, it doesn’t have the hole for the bottle jack pad.
I thought of getting one with the slot and then just using a fostner bit to drill a hole to help stabilize the adaptor pad on the bottle jack, I used to do that to hockey pucks when I stored my motorcycle in the winter time, but I wonder if these pads off Amazon would just crumble if I modified them in any way.

I have the store bought slotted ones and I have ones that I made from hockey pucks. Definitely not as pretty as the one pictured.
I'm thinking with both the hole for the bottle jack and the slot for the pinch weld on the opposite side.
How much material would be left or would it be too thin?
Because of that, they probably aren't made because of liability.

I have the handmade hockey pucks.
The half a hockey puck is for my smart car that has a indented area for the jack.

🤔 Will a bottle jack with a single cylinder pick the truck up with a flat tire far enough for a fully inflated spare to be mounted. Or do I need to find a jack with a telescoping lift tube?

I don't know. I haven't had any reason to jack up the Maverick and I don't own a bottle jack, only a hydraulic floor jack. I bought the slotted Puck because I thought it would be handy to have.

Good setup. That low profile jack lifts high enough obviously then? Even with a flat tire?
I'ts a double ram with 6-1/4" to 15-3/4" range so like a stubby with higher height.

I've had one flat, 10 PSI from a roofing nail on the rear and used this setup.

Found the photo when I had the flat last year:

Oh wow that’s awesome! The stubby jack i have seen at Canadian Tire is just a single cylinder which had me doubting if that would be high enough. Yours is perfect, one of those things you hope to not have to use in an emergency.

I did slip a piece of rubber mat between the flat pad and puck to keep them from slipping as I jacked up.

The safest thing for flats is to carry a jack stand and just use the factory jack. Are those bottle jacks low enough with fully flat tire?

My first month of owning my 23 Mav I had a flat. I hadn't had a flat in decades. I now carry one jack stand in bed.

It may be more than people want to carry, but what about a compact floor jack? This is just an example (not necessarily a recommendation):

I used to carry a full size floor jack in my Toyota pickup when there was a chance I'd be installing and removing tire chains -- in part because it was easier to jack up the entire rear end from the differential, and the longer handle made that possible.

For changing a flat tire, a compact jack should work well, if it's possible to find one that's decent quality.
