EDIT: Problem was a leaking oilpan gasket after oil change, seems it wasnt seated properly, young new technician.
But only the 2nd oil-change ever, finding this strange, I've never replaced oil drainplug gaskets during oil change, I guess I need to buy one of those $40 valved oil drain plugs permanently mounted.

is replacing gaskets every oil change a thing now? I've also always only had steel oilpans, I guess oilpans are all now aluminum, horrible place to save weight!!

One more reason everyone needs a skidplate!! these stupid aluminum oilpans, hit a pothole one time you arent just blowing a tire, any contact youre cracking an oilpan destroying your engine if you dont shut down immediately.

------
Leaking oil this morning from bottom of the skidplate. Couple days ago had oil, ptu, rdu fluids changed.

Looks & smells like the motor oil, but the dipstick shows full covering the top dimple cold.

--Ruled out PTU fluid leak since I have a bottle of 75W85, definitely thinner & doesnt have the PTU "onion" smell. Brake fluid thicker, clear & full.

So last oil source is hybrid drive, but I don't know what hybrid drive Mercon ULV looks & smells like & how to check it for leaks, could this oil be Mercon ULV?

I also 1 week ago had the car spray undercoated with Krown rust proof oil, doesn't look like the thicker Krown. Now I wish I hadn't, gonna suck looking for leaks.

1) Came out today to what looks like motor oil spilling out, yesterday had a 180mile drive.
oil, rdu, ptu fluids changed 4 days ago & haven't notice any leaks before.

Checked dipstick and oil is filled all the way. Color/smell on the floor matches oil on dipstick.

2) oil leakage is all at the oilpan change port, I haven't been under yet with skidplate off.

PTU is near same location as oilpan, but I have a bottle of Motocraft 75W85 & it is definitely not PTU fluid which is thicker with a distinct "onion" smell.

3) felt around the oil filter, oil filter is not oily even though in pic you can see some drips below it, may have migrated forward on the skidplate.

4) process of elimination: not brake fluid.

5) I will get dirty pulling off the skidplate & check for loose oilpan plug,

Question: if engine had been overfilled, would it spill out at some vent location so I dont need to worry?

Maybe the technician accidentally spilled oil on the skidplate when changed a couple days ago, and spilled oil only ran forward to spill when backing up my driveway.

That seems the most logical but I don't know what hybrid transmission Mercon ULV looks like, kinda scared if its a hybrid tranny leak that I wont be able to see it.

Sure looks like fresh motor oil, but I agree with the above advice, just look. IIRC the fluid for the eCVT transmission is pinkish, but maybe that's Toyota Hybrids.

If the oil was overfilled, there is no spill off system. My guess is a improperly tightened drain plug, or it was over-tightened and stripped.

Did you have the RDU and PTU change done at a Ford dealer? If I may ask how much did they charge to do the fluid changes?

I did it at an independent shop:
$65 for oil change
$119 for the PTU

...and get ready for the RDU...
Ford dealer said it needs 1.5 quarts & charged the shop $50 a bottle, so $100 in fluid & $100 labor & markup, so $200 total for the RDU

some others have said RDU just uses 1 quart of fluid so I guess they bought an extra bottle they didnt use.

EDIT: now others said just takes half a quart RDU damn!!! Straight up lied to me, well make that $50 of fluid & $150 of markup & labor on the RDU!!!
NEVER AGAIN am I going to a non-dealer for RDU fluid changes without bringing a $27 bottle of Motocraft 75W ordered off Rock Auto and have them quote me putting it in.

Actually the RDU is easy to change without a lift, comparatively lots of room in back to drain & fill, I dont even think you need a fluid pump like you do for the PTU. Live & learn -- found out the well reviewed shop I used was bought by a chain & is now a "money grab dont check customers cars" like instant oilchange places.

The only generally good instant oil change places are in rural areas, where the technicians have been keeping old cars running & if you're friendly & ask if they see anything needing attention they'll look under your car & help.

The way I test is ask about their "fuel system flush", an absolute waste of $$ for any >7 year old vehicle where a $7 bottle of fuel conditioner every 6 months is all you need.
If they give you the price but dont try to sell & give the look like "hey its your money to burn" I generally then will take whatever they recommend.

Anyone who tries to sell a fuel system cleanout/flush whatever, I wont listen to a thing they have to say -- either crooked or being forced to upsell by a crooked corporate boss.

Take it back to where the service was done. Period. They may have simply spilled oil when filling. In that case they need to clean it up. Could be something they left loose. In that case they need to go back over their work and be made aware, so they can make sure it doesn't happen again. Either way. THEY need to look at it and correct it no matter what.

What made you change all those fluids so soon? Was there a problem? Where was the work done?!
Those oil-based coatings are messy and stinky as they burn off.
If you went to a Jiffy Lube place then good luck, they go for record times on every oil change and they'll blame 100 other things before cleaning up their mess.

Everyone you are talking to is WRONG. There are MANY threads on PTU/RDU oil changes, BOTH have a capacity of 16oz; one pint, half quart.

No problem, Changed everything just because I wanted to see the fluid from break in.
Debating doing Mercon ULV just to see it, or pull a sample out.

That doesn’t help me here in Canada with damn metric! I Jest of course, had mine all done and all level and good. But don’t want to get into converting between the 2, I’m a boomer, and we know nothing!!! 🤣😉
