Wow - that's great to hear!ECO also reduces the A/C load, i've watched the battery load on forscan between the two and there is a difference. A/C in Normal mode uses 2HP worth of power when running.

Then the answer is unfortunately, no. There is no way to set Eco Mode and have it stick. I have that mymavmode, it's easy to install and works as expected.
Yes, it's called mymavmode, I referenced it above, and have one installed. LOLSomeone built a device that in effect when starting the truck it pushed the button for you. Try searching.
Can you elaborate more on the L mode? I’m shopping for the right hybrid Maverick and want all the information I can get.It bugged us till I learned about L button in Drive.
In L mode regenerative braking is increased resulting in almost Tesla likenone pedal driving. I just hit the brakes in the last 10 feet at a stoplight.
It is simply a more aggressive one pedal driving mode on the hybrids. Select drive, then push the L button in the middle. It also helps on hill descent. Unlike normal transmissions, it is not a low gear, it works all the way through the power range. Can you elaborate more on the L mode? Thanks for the clarification, I’m in the process of selling everything and retiring to Florida and I’m going to buy my first brand new truck since 2002. Also my first ford ever.It is simply a more aggressive one pedal driving mode on the hybrids. Select drive, then push the L button in the middle. It also helps on hill descent. To me, better than ECO mode. ECO mode your heater or AC in half and has regenerative braking.
I have a 2022 hybrid. Full time driving in L mode is not recommended per manual. It is for downhill mainly. It increases Regen braking and when the high voltage battery gets to about 72% soc engine braking occurs. Will also occur in stop and go traffic. On plus side I will activate L mode in the last 2-3 miles before arriving home to why not up soc in HVB. Also if you have a long slightly downhill stretch this truck will coast forever when N is selected & drop into D in 2-3 miles really helps mpg. Thanks for the clarification, I’m in the process of selling everything and retiring to Florida and I’m going to buy my first brand new truck since 2002. Yep, sold my 2001 Sportrac at 187000 miles and bought my Maverick hybrid to take me through the next 20 years to my grave. Thanks for the clarification, I’m in the process of selling everything and retiring to Florida and I’m going to buy my first brand new truck since 2002. Also my first ford ever.
Good effing luck with that and let me know when you get that to latch so I don't have to be a trained monkey and hit that button 4 or 5 times every time I get in.Mymavmode.com
Nah, the “new breed” just require a laptop. The new breed of cars requires a more extensive preflight.
The oh so stupid stop/start, grrrr hate it !
As my hand locks my seatbelt it’s right there to switch off that STUPID stop/srart.
But still !
I have a turbo, no way in hell I’m gonna cut the oil flow at a stop light while the turbo is still spinning down from 20,000 or more RPM’s
Ford, that was dumbassery at its finest.
Then get the CAN version.Thank you but I'm thinking I don't actually want to tap into any electronics. JWM
As long as you don't run into the vehicle in front of you from how insensitive it makes the brakes! Scared the heck out of myself furst time I tried it, and especially when I turned it on by mistake!I also read somewhere that slippery mode gives you better fuel mileage.
Yep, I'm a trained monkey. First the 'OK' button then the mode button 4 times while my 2.5 is warming up.Nah, the “new breed” just require a laptop.
In this startup sequence, I never hit ANY button of any kind until I hit “OK” on the steering wheel out of habit (hence the extra “Hold OK to reset”)
No reminders, no chimes, no problem.
I’ve read the story about mileage certification, etc. That strikes me as more excuse than reason. Then the answer is unfortunately, no. There is no way to set Eco Mode and have it stick. I have that mymavmode, it's easy to install and works as expected.
