I think the mode just change the response from gas and brake pedal. Eco requires longer ordeal travel distance to get the same power. I like eco because it gives more control and less jumpy at start

Is there a way to default the operation mode to Eco rather than having to change it from normal to Eco every time you use it?
Check out the Cuban Redneck on YouTube he s figured out how to fix it with a timer relay.

Don't think so. I'm probably going to get changed over to a MY '23 and perhaps this will be an upgrade.

It should be possible with software update, I know my Camry Hybrid defaults to the last used on start up. We keep it in eco mode for the most part and put it in sport when rarely needed.

I feel this would be the best option. Hope it is available in the updates

No it does not default to Eco mode, you have to get a little mode switcher that taps into the fuse box and one of the wires in the center console area in order for it to automatically switch to Eco mode. There are videos on Youtube of some guys who have done just that and it's super convenient to have.

The aforementioned conversion can be found by GOOGLING
"MyMavMode Ford" Maverick Drive
it's $40 on E-bay. There's a link to a YouTube video in his description. It looks pretty easy to install. Maybe 20 minutes.

The only way to do it ln forscan, is to disable all except for Econo mode. I find that I get the best mileage from normal anyway!

You can search you question on this site. It has been discussed in great detail.
To the best of my knowledge FORScan won't work except as dldjtad stated you can remove all other modes.

I have the module mentioned above from ebay. "MyMavMode Ford Maverick Drive Mode Selector Module ECO Default Hybrid & Ecoboost"

It was easy to install and the seller is helpful if you need it.

I've tried Eco mode several times. As far as I can tell it will increase the amount of regen braking (the truck slows faster when you let off the gas pedal) But I can't tell any difference in throttle response from Normal mode. I find I can get my best MPG (my best is 60 mpg on my 20 mile trip to work) using Slippery mode which has less regen braking when I let off the gas allowing me to coast longer without slowing me down so much. Seems backwards but it's been proven to work better in stop and go 45-55 mph driving. So I would rather default to Slippery mode if I had an option.

I don't see why pushing a button a couple times to change mode or turn off the auto start/stop is such a big deal. When I start my truck, I don't back right out of my garage like my house is on fire. if you are in that big of a hurry that taking 3 seconds to adjust to eco, you probably aren't driving economically.

We don't do most mods because we have to. We do most mods because we want and like to.

Just as I don't see why you had to write a negative post but I understand you want and like to.

Note: your comment has already been poster many times about this subject.
