Just to recap, here's what's gone wrong with our 2022 Hybrid XLT in just the last ten months:

Codes P0811, P0E71, and PL920 at 41425 miles. Power loss on the highway, CEL on, limp to dealer on electric motor, damper clutch and flywheel replaced.

At 41725 miles, code P1061, CEL and Service Engine warning come up, limp to dealer on electric motor, got replacement engine.

At 49174 miles, code P1061, CEL and Service Engine warning lights, limp 20 miles to dealer on electric motor, new "trans" installed and damper clutch replaced again.

Now at 51k miles, waiting for codes to be read, but CEL and Service Engine warning lights illuminated with limp down highway to out of state dealer. Was unable to get loaner on a Saturday, messed up trip, blah blah blah.

Wife says dump it. I hate giving up a paid off vehicle before the factory warranty has even run out, but even I don't trust it anymore.

I’m with your wife 100%. I would have dumped it long ago. Good luck on a speedy repair and replacement vehicle

My 2024 Ecoboost has been flawless so far.
The several 2025 Hybrid owners I talk to have not had a single problem.

lemon law has any effect here ?
Also sounds like the dealers aren't being the most helpful.

sorry
On a 3 year old truck? No.

The dealer’s been fine. The repair orders show heavy guidance from the Ford tech line, so they aren’t trying to blindly fix it. But dang, the whole power unit between the front wheels has been replaced by this point (except for the axles, of course). :)

What he said.
"Some vehicles are just lemons unfortunately. Dump it and move on from the frustration"

My 2022 (delivered 12-20-2021) has had 1 very, very minor dash cable issued....Fixed in 5 minutes...zero issues in almost 3 years.....3 recalls that were time consuming but always had an uber paid by dealership. You might see what your (or another) dealer would do on a trade-in.

I'd would have a hard time reselling a known problem vehicle to an innocent victim, but I'd have no issue to trade with a Ford Dealership since they have the resources to fix things easier and cheaper.

Any problems prior to 41425miles?

Seems like your particular vehicle is a problem vehicle. The problems you're having are VERY unusual. How much warranty do you have left. If you still have a good bit left, perhaps keep driving it to see if the run of bad luck is over. If not , see what the dealer will give on a trade. Even if you get another Maverick, I doubt if you'll have any significant issues. I think your particular vehicle had problems because it got several marginal parts when it was manufactured

This truck had no operational issues before 41425 miles.

All of the repairs so far have fallen under the factory 60k powertrain, or 100k? hybrid warranty. I have a PremiumCare extended warranty that we haven't even tapped yet, and each time it gets fixed, I resolve to see it thru to the end of that. But maybe not this time.
