  1. Never Again Ford! 2022 Maverick needs a new transmission

Nothing wrong with being cheap, luckily. It’s all diminishing returns after a certain point. I do think the more expensive TVs are worth it IF you spend a lot of time watching movies or playing video games though..
  2. Never Again Ford! 2022 Maverick needs a new transmission

Cheap TV’s are fine, but you get what you pay for. OLED or mini led sets are so much better lol
  3. Never Again Ford! 2022 Maverick needs a new transmission

I’m starting to think the main weakness of the 8f35 is just fluid temperatures. I imagine tow package trucks or other cooler equipped ones will last a lot longer. Did OP have a base model? Like obviously it’s a cost cut, cleverly packaged design, but it’s not inherently too terrible. The HF45 by...
  4. US automotive sector faces looming synthetic oil crisis..😯

I stocked up two changes ahead for both my cars, the Mav gets pennzoil ultra platinum which will likely disappear from the ME troubles. I also have one change worth of Mercon ULV which is also in and out of stock. Oil wise I’m set for at least a year so we shall see…
  5. Why are spare tires disappearing from new cars?🤦‍ā™‚ļø

I think the biggest factor is people just don’t know how or want to use them in the first place lol
  6. S&B Cold Air Intake for the '22-'24 Ford Maverick

How easy is it to remove to get the battery out?
  7. Maverick is a cruising machine!

I mean most vehicles compared to that are gonna fall short on ride quality, lol. I’m happy with how it rides but the Tremor is much softer than other trims…
  8. EVAP Purge Valve Replacement Hybrid

Oregon got rid of attendants as of a few years ago,I was probably one of the last people to experience that joy, lol
  9. Useless Observation

Did you test with a meter? I’ve found interesting behavior with modern vehicles in that regard. Voltage at the posts is always higher than interior readouts, and if you disconnect the posts the voltage usually goes up quite a bit. So many vampires drawing power all the time. The SoC value if...
  10. Lariat or well spec'd XLT?

Id personally rather save the $$ because I don’t like leather seats as much, but with these I have to admit the Lariat feels far more complete and upscale lol. Still love my XLT with lux though.
  11. Ac/heat issues. 47,000 miles NO CABIN FILTER-EVER?

Never! It doesn’t blow the same!
  12. Car & Driver recommends Maverick as a great first vehicle

It certainly does everything well, I love having one as a daily driver!
  13. Ac/heat issues. 47,000 miles NO CABIN FILTER-EVER?

IMO this right here is the biggest issue with them checking the filter. This happens more often then not because they’re in a hurry, lol.
  14. Ford Performance Parts covered under warranty

In theory, but it’s not written that way. As soon as you hit that 3/36, they reserve the right to say no to any related claims. However , it’s very unlikely that they will from personal experience, especially if the dealer installed the parts.
  15. #TremorWildfireSmoke -Share Your PicsšŸ’ØšŸ”„

Here in Utah we’ve had a bunch of fires too, driest season on record so far. Luckily no apocalyptic smoke lately up here though..,
  16. Cool Tremor stuff

I wonder if it's only an issue if they get loose over time? A few people on here have fallen victim, but maybe checking on it once in a while might prevent it....
  17. Air conditioning more economical to run manual or set temperature at 77 on front vent recycling air?

From how I understand it the temperature set is always automatic, you set a desired cabin temperature and it tries to maintain it. The auto mode just operates the fan speed and directs the air where it thinks it will be most effective. Or am I wrong, and the set temp is what is supposed to...
  18. Run with the Tremor?

I think the Tremor is an amazing soft roader. I personally don’t have the skill or desire to outdo its capabilities, as middle of the road they may be. Some people are more comfortable having more headroom than they need and that’s fine too. I say if it’s doing what you ask, keep rocking it...
  19. Cool Tremor stuff

Be careful with those OE ones, they will scratch the paint over time when deflected by water or road debris
  20. I Haven't caught a thing. Not a drop. Catch Can

IMO the main thing is just how well your engine was assembled. Some engines have looser piston ring tolerances than others, and will pass more vaporized oil and other junk into the crankcase. It also depends how often you check it, since if your engine is nice and tight and not passing much oil...
