  1. If you reordered your Maverick TODAY… what trim are you picking?

Being able to get an XLT Tremor was awesome. But of course, any time something is actually good value, Ford discontinues it, lol. If I did it again, as much as I love the Tremor, I dont see myself paying the 40+k for it now. I'd just go with a XLT hybrid AWD.
  2. Moab Shader Trail with EcoBoost Lariat (Canyonlands National Park)

I wanted to do this when I was there, but that narrow road down made the GF nervous lol
  3. Baseball size hail vs maverick tremor

This is getting way too common lol
  4. Auto AC is weak when it is hot outside

Hmm, odd. My XLT with the basic climate is on auto level 2 365 days of the year and always does a good job
  5. CAUTION Cargo Stop Light Removal

Mine was fine too, but the factory definitely overtightens them from time to time setting one up for failure lol
  6. A Dummy Discovers the Amazing Benefits of a B.M.S. Reset!

I dont think ive ever seen above 12.5 on mine, and I have auto start stop and the TCU disabled, lol. Ill definitely take a look. Its probably just going to come down to the battery though. Would explain the occasional weird glitches I get, lol
  7. A Dummy Discovers the Amazing Benefits of a B.M.S. Reset!

I use forscan lite like that. I think its that first PID. I read it from the BCM. Given my truck was a leftover 24 and sat for several months its possible my battery just degraded somewhat.
  8. A Dummy Discovers the Amazing Benefits of a B.M.S. Reset!

What is it called then? I drive every day and every time ive looked at that value, its always somewhere in the low to mid 70% range. But yeah, that makes sense it just goes to a float charge at that point. Isn't an actually fully charged agm read at 13.4v though?
  9. A Dummy Discovers the Amazing Benefits of a B.M.S. Reset!

I see, I thought he was actually doing the reset. Letting it relearn is fine. One problem you will run into no matter what though is that the target soc is only 80%. Why Ford chose to do this, I cant say. You have to change it in forscan or live with the battery always ending up around that...
  10. A Dummy Discovers the Amazing Benefits of a B.M.S. Reset!

You really shouldn't reset it randomly, battery age also gets reset to 0 which means the ecu will charge the battery differently than intended. As batteries age, adjusting the charging strategy can help eek out a bit more longevity.
  11. (Article) The Feds Plan To Start Diluting Gasoline (E15)This May

Okay, but you forgot a key detail or two. For one, fertilizer is petroleum based, and they use a hell of a lot of it. Secondly, ethanol falls victim to the same logistic efficiency loss as regular fuels. You have to spend fuel to move fuel, which isnt great with so much lower energy density...
  12. A Tale of Two U-Haul Trailers (Towing Report)

From what I remember from my time in that scene was that you used a 3.0 block from a Taurus/Sable/Escape and put your original SVT cylinder head on it. Both heads were 24v, but the SVT contour head has better cams and flows better. Doing this was the best of both worlds. For some reason the 2.5...
  13. 🙋‍♂️ What did you do TO / WITH your Maverick today?

Fresh oil change with Pennzoil Ultra Plat 5W30 and MC Fl-910S. I love having something new where the block still looks so pristine, lol. Helps our winter here was dogwater this year. Also installed the diode dynamics HP36 cargo light bulbs. My reflector was just starting to melt, so I figured...
  14. Informative video on oil, esp for ecoboost

Supertech synthetic is actually great. Costco's Kirkland oil brand is basically the same formula. Cheap and holds up just fine.
  15. Informative video on oil, esp for ecoboost

Oh you absolutely could, changing on time matters far more than brand. With that said, better formulations resist the heat of the turbo center section better leading to less turbo wear, and they deal with soot suspension from the GDI injection better too, leading to reduced wear of timing...
  16. Informative video on oil, esp for ecoboost

I use Pennzoil Ultra Platinum 5W30 exclusively with Motorcraft filters these days
  17. Sign of Possible Transmission Failure

It happens, i had it once. I think it was my fault, I didnt have the parking brake set on a slight incline and put the shifter into drive. I think as it goes through neutral to drive it will roll a bit and then clunk into drive if you arent fast enough on the dial, but thats just my theory
  18. 2022 Maverick 2.0 AWD Tuned | 310 WHP and 318 WTQ

Those arent hard limits, its just what it was engineered to accept over a normal lifespan. Lifespan will obviously be degraded running more power, but its not going to necessarily blow up quickly either.
  19. Air Jack: BEST RECOVERY Device EVER! Maverick high centered

They aren't, the tremor is built for rough roading. Everything is an off roader if you arent scared of damage though, lol.
