NOTE: this not to start the debate of Sleep Mode on the Hybrid Mavericks or 12v Dc battery.

For 2 1/2 years I have been plugging my NOCO battery tender to charge the 12vdc battery when the vehicle goes into sleep mode due to not driving the Maverick for 3 or 4 days. I am retired and rarely drive more than 5 to 10 miles 2 or 3 times a week.

I finally added a quick connect to make it easier, even for my wife if she drives. Winter is coming soon in Michigan and the Maverick drains the battery even quicker. So not to start the debate, I just wanted to show others the connector bought on amazon looks factory good. Best to everyone..

Looks great. Did you have to install the connector into existing badge, or did you find a badge with it already installed?

Install looks great, nice work! Just curious if you have replaced your 12V battery at all or upgraded to an AGM?

I installed it into the existing badge. Figured if I screwed it up I could just buy another, but it installed perfectly. Parts list made it almost all plug and play, just cut the extension cord to length and added alligator clips to attach to jump cable spots under hood.

I have not changed the OEM 12vdc battery to AGM. For the poor performance charging specs of the Maverick Battery Management Module and my driving habits, I did think the investment would gain me much. I am sure that there is a future replacement coming in a year or so.

I have 25’ , not sure what changes they made if any to BMM but they did change to AGM and haven’t had a problem since delivery in Jan. Unless someone knows of BMM changes then I would think change to AGM should be 1st thing to try vs this (not only the work it took but the requirement to plug in all the time) . This thought is not to knock the work you did which looks great if really necessary.

I think this looks great. I'll probably have to do this eventually. Could you post pictures of the "inside" under the hood?

Thanks! I'll try that too.. I currently raise the hood to plug my NOCO into the mating harness that stays connected to the battery..

Never had my battery go dead on either Maverick, but the new OTA update was said to address the possibility.

Looks great. Showing my ignorance probably, but how did you plug it in to your wall outlet? I can figure out what the connection would be.

Was it easy to install or did you have it done?

That is a real clean mod......the "deep sleep" crowd is going to love it and I am thinking of how to add it to my 1983 Mustang GLX for a neater appearance. Great work!!
