I installed mine above the tailgate handle and use it at work several times a day. It's nice not to have to run to a side door handle, pull out my phone or key fob to access the bed.
I drive the county roads (@ 35-50 MPH) when possible and on this tank of fuel somehow managed 800 miles @ 50.9 mpg. Fuel mileage is the main reason I downsized from a great 3.5L F-150 to the Maverick. After having it for 17 months I feel I received a lot more than I was expecting.
I don't have an Aluma MC10 trailer, but the below link explains my experience on a short 57-mile trip towing my Triumph 1200 up and over Afton Mt in VA. in tow mode. Hope this helps give you an idea on what you could expect.

I feel you. The first time I felt my truck creep forward while I was stopped, I thought someone had bumped me from behind. on a few other occasions, I thought I wasn't holding the brake pedal down hard enough and the truck lunged forward. Lately, I've been trying to remember when coming to a...
I purchased the M8 1.25 and the nut would only partially thread and then stopped. Then I went back to Home Depot and exchanged them for the 5/16, and they thread with my finger all the way down.
I also could see us purchasing an EV for around town errands and short trips.
Before purchasing the Maverick, I was thinking about a Ford Power-Boost, but I was trying to downsize from having many full-sized pickups in the past. Since I'm not hauling all of the equipment that I used to carry...
If you're not already doing so, please try what Mavster Mechanic suggests. Turn off the A/C and run 40 psi in your tires.
I very seldom run the A/C even in the summer unless I'm on the Interstate.
No, my Lariat came with the spayed in bed liner and rails. I purchased the Ford adjustable bed divider, 4 Kobalt plastic crates from Lowe's and the Rough Country pullout truck bed storage box without the lid.
38 MPG's is great! I'm sure you're not doing anything wrong. Unless, if you see a red light up ahead, do you try to coast to the light or do you drive like my wife and floor it and jamb on the breaks. 😀
If someone's behind me, I try not to drive too slowly and piss them off. But as you know...
It pulls strong going up Afton Mountain without straining at all. I love the approx. 5-miles of coasting going back to Charlottesville from Waynesboro. The route from C-Ville to Waynesboro and back is usually my highest fuel consumption trip, but I still net about 44 mpg. on those days.
Good afternoon, all.
This little truck keeps impressing me with its fuel mileage, smoothness, and handling. This week I decided to push it a little to see if I could get 700 miles on a tank of fuel and did so with 48 miles to empty. These miles were mostly driving around town with about 8 to 10...
This is one amazing little Hybrid AWD truck. Just like many others, I made it 616 miles on a tank of regular fuel with 125 miles to empty so we could have made it to 700. The first 220 mile were on a trip to Maryland and back driving 55-65 mph most of the way, then 2 weeks of driving to work and...
