Since the BMS cannot see the extra charge that you are putting in, it is not clear what it will do. If you charge on the other side of the BMS block or from under the hood, then it will behave differently. Given that it is out of control with its broken software leaving the battery chronically undercharged, maybe its a good thing that it can't see your extra charge. On the other hand, maybe not...I have not had a low battery problem or any problem since I hooked it up, charged it and reset the bms once in October.
I wanted to hook up my charger easiest way possible with the least amount of resistance. That meant hooking it up to the top of the posts.
What problem should I be looking for?
