I just got done driving a Chevy equinox and it was comfortable. Much more comfortable than the maverick. And I just found out there’s a bigger one called a blazer. It’s all electric though. Which I don’t have a problem with but I kinda like the hybrid cause it gives me more mileage does anybody have any experience with those

I had a 2021 equinox, put 80k on it in 2 years and bought a Silverado on an impulse. The equinox was very comfortable and got great MPG.

That’s terrible because I have had back surgery and the weekend before I had to drive from South Carolina to Gainesville Florida for a wedding but the seat was extremely comfortable and not an issue. I don’t know if it’s different in an XLT but I am lucky with my ongoing back issues that it is working because I love this truck. Good luck with your future purchase because nobody wants to be in pain driving.
I also have a 2025 XLT Maverick and think the seats are pretty comfortable although I've never been on a trip with it.

Was the Computer on top of the Battery? My Uncles IIRC 2012 Equinox battery is what a Joke IMO.

I recently made a 4.5 hour drive from Phoenix to Las Vegas on probably one of the worst highways in the US
ooh, you've lived a pampered life if 93 even makes your list!

😱

And if you mean 60, that's dime-a-dozen replicated all over the place.

Go back a few years and it was quite painful, but over the last decade or so, they've lopped off an hour or two. Now, there are only a couple of one lane/direction stretches left, and they're not all that long. And no more waiting before slowly proceeding across the dam. (and on our last trip over that, they were stopping every car!)

Shaquille O’Neal wanted a new Corvette. Can’t fit. He’s a huge guy.
But, he found a shop that would modify (GREATLY!!) a new ‘Vette so it would work for him. Came out great.
Now, I’m not saying that you should put the kind of bread into new seats that Shaq did. What I am saying is that if you throw enough bread at it (like any problem), you can get the seats that you want. Just gotta find the shop qualified and willing.
It’s out there. Keep looking.
Johnny Cash had a unique way to get in/out of his Ferrari - but way too much twisting to help the OP

Honestly, go test drive other cars before losing your butt on trading for a lariat (which has the same damn seats) if the shape and size of the seat is the problem, which it sounds like, then the same seat with a different skin ain't gonna help.

Is fat wallet syndrome possible? Wallet neuritis is not uncommon.
Didn't know they called it that, but several years back when I had a sciatica flareup happen...first thing my chiropractor told me was to move my wallet out of my rear pocket when I drove or rode in a vehicle for long drives. It helped a lot and I still do it to this day.

I bought a '22 XLT and the 4/5 rung lumbar set from factory but was not enough for me.I ordered the better 7 rung lumbar support and installed it myself.I also shimmed it to my liking and the improvement was vast.I opted out of the electric adjustment and have been happy ever since-do wish the front of seat was horizontally adjustable but you can't have everything(unless you pay for it)
is this the part you mentioned? I don't have any problem with mine but thought the OP might be interested in considering the part your ordered.

Never looked for the computer so I don;t know. But they did a couple redesigns between 2012 and 2021 so maybe it was moved. I didn't have any issues with it in 80k miles. Had I kept it by the time I retired in 2024 it would have had 150k on it.

That’s my point. I like the lariat a lot but I just feel like if I upgraded to that what’s to say within a month the seat is any different? I will say I think a lot of this has to deal with the lumbar support because the pain that I’m feeling when I sit down is exaggerated by back pain because as I’m sure you all know a lot of what you back does controls every other part of your body. So I’ve got pains on different areas but you know

Would this give me significant better back support? That’s interesting. I also wish the thing would tilt downward but you know what I mean

No. I can tell you that’s not the case. I’ve never sat on a wallet nor have I ever driven with a wallet in my back pocket. I used to have them in my back pocket when I was younger. Now I keep them elsewhere. And I don’t have a fat wallet. I only carry what I need
