But that is not what you were comparing it to. You said getting the 4K tow package (over an AWD or FWD hybrid) provides an upgraded alternator along with a host of other things it does not do.....
Agreed. I had read something to that effect but can't find it now, so I am wrong.

Tell me more about the upgraded alternator, and can you highlight the differences for the upgraded springs and shocks that come with 4K tow package?

My 25' Hybrid Lariat AWD doesn't have skid plates - I must have gotten screwed.
My AWD hybrid 4ktow lariat don't , my 22 FX4 did have skid plates

conversation spare tire,
ooh, great. It's always nice to have someone something to talk to when you're stuck with a flat!

😜
Because HP has nothing to do with acceleration - torque does.
That's in the "yes, but . . ." category . . . it's the horsepower that's pushing the pistons to create torque in the driveshaft.

WE hate to trade it but it was suppose to include 4k pkg for our retirement
An alternative would be to get a 2025 hybrid with the 4k towing package. That way you will have the ability to tow when you need it. And you will have the great economy of the hybrid when you're not towing. It's a shame that some were not made aware at the time of purchase that the hybrid became available with the 4K towing package in 2025

Yes, but the torque applied by your foot on the accelerator powers the pistons:)

Thinking about trading 2025 hybrid maverick with lariat pkg. for 2025 eco-boost maverick with lariat pkg. + 4k towing pkg.
Need opinions if this is good idea?
My truck is the Lariat Hybrid AWD with the 4K tow package. I have not towed anything with it yet but wanted to have the option to tow heavier if needed. As for performance and economy as well as driveability, I enjoy my truck. Maybe just keep and enjoy. Look towards 2026 or 2027 for the upgrade. Just a thought.
