It appears that you didn't look that close or intentionally left out what's in the 4k Tow package. Like a trans cooler, an upgraded fan a 7 pin wire connector and a conventional spare tire. At least you mentioned the brake controller and the back up assist but nothing to keep the the trans or engine from overheating.
i stand corrected on the the trans cooler and better fan. That was something I had not noted. I knew the EB got those, the hybrid does have some cooling to spare, that's why the radiator doesn't change. His current Lariat hybrid should already have the larger spare and of course the seven pin is required when you added the brake controller. I'm not saying it's not a good value to buy it that way (as a 4k) in the first place, but if you already have a '25 AWD hybrid, it is quite capable of pulling 4k with fairly inexpensive mods compared to trading. The big one is the brake controller for safety, the others may only need be be done if your going to stress the system with large and frequent hills, high temperatures and max loads.

No those items help throughout the life of the truck even when not towing. To add all of the above is most likely cost prohibited and probably cheaper to trade in or sell outright and purchase new.

For whatever reason the OP did not get it on the truck when purchased. He unfortunately is not alone and later on many decide to tow but do not have the required equipment by the manufacturer to do so. I always try to post the advantages of getting the 4k tow package because of two reasons. One no one has a crystal ball to tell the future and even if you don't need it today, tomorrow you may. Second reason both the trans cooler, upgraded fan, and radiator on ecoboost will be used and useful on the lifespan of the vehicle along with the possible use of a conventional spare tire. IMO it's money well spent.

So you bought a used 2025 without a window sticker?
🤔
I checked you're in Nebraska so this is pertinent.
We should all know by now.
By law, every new car sold in the United States must have a window sticker, also known as a Monroney sticker. This sticker is required by the Automobile Information Disclosure Act of 1958, which ensures transparency in the car-buying process.
Even a dealer DEMO should come with a window sticker. Dealers can actually print out window stickers
there's absolutely no excuse for a 2025 to be sold as a new car without a window sticker unless it was actually a previously titled used car.

Well, you have already got the AWD with it being a '25 Lariat. Also with it being a '25 hybrid, you have the upgraded transmission. Not that much more to the 4k pak on a hybrid except the brake controller and the back up assist. The back up assist wasn't even a available on any Maverick last year. You can add a brake controller. Unless you're really towing well upwards of 3k frequently, I would save the money. Just my initial thoughts.
Also with the 4K tow package and Lariat you have upgraded suspension, springs/shocks etc., upgraded cooling and alternator, and 7 pin trailer connector. I think a skid plate or two is included with the AWD.

See post #30 & 32 above, I didn't see anything about an upgraded suspension, I think the AWD hybrid suspension already is somewhat upgraded (beyond the FWD). Remember, the OP's hybrid does not have an alternater. No such thing as a factory skid plate in a hybrid. Just the fabric cover.

I actually though I had seen somewhere that 2025 AWD had a skid plate but I stand corrected. As for suspension, I am referring to AWD Hybrid having upgraded suspension components. True, no alternator in the "belt driven sense" but a high quality charger built into the CVT. It is an upgraded component when compared to the 2.0 belt driven alternator.

Way to make that bold decision to buy a vehicle that another 412,848 people also made last year in the US. Of that, only 360,000 or less will actually use it for its actual capabilities. 😆 jk…I think
wait until you hear about the "ford f-150"

idk if the tow/haul mode is changed for the 4k package. Also is the final drive/diff also different on the 4k tow model still? if so that make a difference everyday not just towing. I see the maverick has 3 VERY different axles ratios. The cooling fan might also be upgraded in the 4k package, the part number is different I think iirc. I believe in haul mode the regen is reduced to prevent overheating the motors/trans and battery it also reduces how much the battery can be used because the amount is power going in and out at once is a lot. For reliability, that 4k tow is a must imho from an engineering point of view they seemed to put it in for a reason.

Trans cooler, upgraded fan, (upgraded radiator on ecoboost), conventional spare tire, 7 pin and 4 pin wire harness, brake controller, also newer models have backup assist and trailer hitch assist.

2025 Ford Maverick Hybrid with AWD can be optioned with the 4000 lb tow package. Don't need the ecoboost for 4K tow.

Personally, I would list it and try to sell it before I did a trade in. You will get more money with a private offer than a trade in. Depending on milage and where you live, you could get close to what you paid for it. If I needed 4k that is where I would start.
I just got a 25 Lariat loaded up, I sold my 22 FX4 loaded up to CarMax I got $4500 more from them then dealer offered, dealer laughed at me, they said there never going to give you that much, should of seen their face when I showed them the check, the whole thing took a half hour, had a small balance on the 22 they paid off and handed me a check for the rest. Then to top it off they drove me to the dealer to pick up my new truck. CarMax is killing the dealer prices, they think the tax savings will force you to sell to them, I still came out 2k ahead. What sold me was as soon as I walked in the door manager came over with a water bowl for my service dog and filled it with cold water. Check them out before selling to dealer. As for the money loss yes, you're going to lose, most vehicles will lose 5k pulling it off the dealer lot, But its only money, am 74 my truck is one of my few pleasures, I lost about $4500 on my 22 FX4 after 3 years of driving it, I hope to be alive to lose the same on my Lobo in 3 years when I sell my Lariat.

Something worth mentioning is the power in the 25 Hybrid 191 hp with the 4k tow it's no dog it has plenty of power, I had ECO 250hp for 3 years and Hybrid about 4 months, I was very surprised when I floored it after I put 1000miles on it getting on the parkway. Theres a good video on UTube they raced a Hybrid against a Lobo 0-60 the Hybrid lost by about a small car length, I know the lobo guys are going to say it's not a drag racer, I agree BUT the Hybrid performance was impressive with 60 less HP.

Tell me more about the upgraded alternator, and can you highlight the differences for the upgraded springs and shocks that come with 4K tow package?

My 25' Hybrid Lariat AWD doesn't have skid plates - I must have gotten screwed.

It is an upgraded component when compared to the 2.0 belt driven alternator.
But that is not what you were comparing it to. You said getting the 4K tow package (over an AWD or FWD hybrid) provides an upgraded alternator along with a host of other things it does not do.....

Because HP has nothing to do with acceleration - torque does.

The HF55 electric motors provide instantaneous torque that the EB cannot match but is not sustainable once the HVB is depleted.
