If your unhappy with your Maverick & don't trust it then trade it.

CV axles are known weakness on Maverick. Hybrid and Ecoboost. I purchased a warranty to cover any issues that occur after factory warranty expires.

All recalls are software up to this point on my truck. Not a big issue for me. I just waited until there were several and I had time to get them done. No impact to reliability of the truck for my use.

I really like this truck and enjoy what it offers. If I had to replace it there is nothing else on the market that replicate the benefits it delivers.

My advice is keep the truck if the dealership/Ford repaints the hood to your standards. If you still are unhappy with the truck in another 6 months then move on.

If you are not happy do what makes you happy.

We are biased for sure, but most of us also know there are tons of issues and some very unlucky Maverick owners are the recipients of many or maybe even all of them. It's no secret. These are cheaply made vehicles and highly recalled. The market is in shambles across the board. If you need to jump ship, do it. Just keep in mind you might not be upgrading as everyone is having QC issues currently due to their own devils post COVID. So it's a gamble no matter what you chose.

The only advice I would give is that if you chose to keep the Maverick, invest in the warranty. If you chose to buy something else, wait until you are close to being out of the factory warranty to buy an extended one. That's with any manufacturer now days sadly. Every vehicle now days should be treated like a 3 year test run before spending a penny and that sucks because there is a lot to desire in the "accessories" category that most of us feel we need. So keep all that in mind and good luck with whatever you chose to do, and I hope it makes you happy and works out for you. Sorry this happened to you. FORD customers deserve better, hell, any car buyer deserves better than what is currently going on all over the place in this market.
