I'd agree with some of the others, at this point I would wait for the refreshed '25. Doubt your '22 Hybrid is going to depreciate much in that timeframe.

I took delivery of a 24 Lariat hybrid a month ago. I was able to get back what I paid for the 22 XLT Lux hybrid with 16K miles on a trade and I have no regrets. I am out of the recall hamster wheel and resetting the warranty is piece of mind. I do miss the keypad but I'm slowly getting over it. I just keep the fob in my pocket and forget about it. Major upgrades include the B&O sound system which is awesome and the ACC which comes with the Copilot 360 assist package is pretty damn cool. All of the creature comforts with the same 40 mpg. I worked my ass off for 50 years so now I feel like I deserved to splurge a little during retirement. Anyway, as a simple man I couldn't be happier.
Loved the "recall hamster wheel" phrase! LOL!. I missed the bullet on most of the recalls. My Maverick was built in Aug 23. Only issue was the cluster F##$! recall and tail light twitch. No problems after having those two recalls performed. I did put in my own Die Hard Battery back in January, a T4 470 CCA 585CA after several deep sleep stuff messages, no dome lights, etc. No sleepypoo stuff since with the Die Hard. I will be upgrading to an AGM to seal the deal later this year.

Off topic, but I can't help remembering the funny barn story at the end of Saving Private Ryan, where the punchline is "Don't do it! You have your whole life in front of you!".

I'll probably be trading in my 2022 for a 2025 if the updates are appealing enough. But part of me is saying "I have a Maverick that works perfectly. And given the endless horror stories on MTC, I could easily trade it for a nightmare Maverick."

One plus about getting a 24 is virtually no recalls for ones rolling off the assembly line.

22-23s have had a lot of software updates, and for some it's problematic...

There was definitely a battery issue with the '22. While I was lucky enough to escape major issues, I did go through three batteries at the expense of the Ford warranty and my time. So far and 600 miles later, the '24 Lariat has been nothing but a pleasure. Good luck with yours going forward CutisB.

I’m happy with my 2022 hybrid, but dealer has been offering a good price for my truck.
My question is for folks who got a 2022 and traded for a 2024, are you happy with the 2024
Remember with the 2022 you have the door key pad, the temperture readouts for both sides, you may have hifi capability, spray in bed liner, sliding rear window, windshield wiper heater, and other things no longer available on the 2024. It's up to you!

Have a 22 and 24 scheduled to be built tomorrow 4 8 24. Dealer is giving $4k less than I paid but with incentives it'll cost me about $2k for the 24 out of my pocket.
Be sure to check with Carvana or others to compare to the dealer's offer. I got 3K more with Carvana than the dealer offered. That was more than the MY22 sticker price for the no option XL EB. 2 years and 37K miles later it was worth more than new. I could not pass on that offer.
