The point of it is....NEW technology. That simple. I use it in drive throughs when the cars are creeping...works great. I don't leave the button on, only use it when i need it. It is especially nice to be able to let your foot rest for a second, just to wiggle your sandal or whatever. I mean come on...it's just a feature activated by a button. You don't EVER have to push it. :sunglasses::sunglasses::sunglasses:

I have pretty much gotten used to it. Right now I have a loaner Audi Q5 while our Q5 is in the shop.
I much prefer the stop/start of my Maverick over the 2024 Q5. The Maverick is smoother when it starts up and begins to move.

Tried it, didn't like it.
I think it's a stupid feature, just hold the brake and pay attention to the cars in front of you like you ought to be doing.

I love it the handful of times I've used it. My biggest problem with it is I forget I have it more times than not.

The first few times I used it I didn't know it stays on during that ignition cycle until you turn it back off, I was like "what" at first.

I like how easy it is to apply. With other carmakers, once you're at a complete stop, you have to really mash the brake pedal down for it to activate. In the Maverick, once it's fully stopped, it instantly engages. The only time I don't like it is going from reverse to drive and I forget it's on. I hate it when it doesn't start rolling forward when I expect it to. That part's on me. Otherwise, works like a charm. For those who don't like it, all it takes is a push of a button. At least it leaves it on your last preset unlike auto stop-start that automatically reengages after each start cycle.

Love it. It's on 100% of the time in my truck.

Yah that's when I'd use it, when I have to stick my leg straight out to get my wallet out my pocket in the drive through.

We've got it on the Escape but haven't been in situations where it's been real useful so far, having to queue, or stop start up a hill for a while may keep your leg muscles from cramping.

I hate it. Useless and the only time I turn it on is by accident. It's one more thing to malfunction.

I can see where it might be useful, but I have a Camry that doesn't have it, and often have to drive company cars, so I don't want to get in to the habit of using it. That's also why I have largely switched to slippery, I love the aggressive deceleration of eco, but when I get in another vehicle they seem to have weak brakes. Slippery matches the"regular" cars feel, and has better mileage to boot.
