First of all I didn’t say it was lousy. It started out as a no frills hybrid vehicle for a no frills price at a time (2021) when gas prices were through the roof. It was a bargain. Ford dirtied the brand by jacking the price almost 10k in 4 iterations without essentially adding any value to the vehicle. And now they’re talking about tariffs increasing the price yet again, when anyone who has done ANY research about tariffs knows they will LIKELY not affect vehicles from Mexico or Canada. Your assumption that EVERYONE bought it because they wanted/needed a small truck is erroneous. Again: hybrid vehicle designed to appeal to a huge segment of the population(especially those without much money) with a bargain price when gas prices were extortionate. I didn’t buy a “truck” I bought a cheap hybrid. lt’s still made cheaply, but not priced that way. If you want a better hybrid truck, have disposable income, time and patience, I’m sure there’s a bargain to be had somewhere. Of course it might require a road trip. I had to go to Memphis to get my dream car, paid 60% of the MSRP, 10 year bumper to bumper warranty. What is abstract about it?
People say the Maverick is no longer a good buy. I want to know what they think is a better buy than the Maverick that can do the same things the Maverick can do.
If the Maverick is lousy, what is the better alternative?
