Also a good point, I drive the maverick on weekends only, I have a work truck the rest of the time. I wanted steel rims for the winter tires only because I don't want to keep pulling off the stock tires every change of season, and this way I can swap out the wheels myself.

To power a hair dryer is no small thing, most of them are around 1200 watts or so, and at 12 volts, that's 100 amps, so forget it, besides it's not so much the motor in the hair dryer, it's the heating element that sucks the juice.
