I suspect it will fix it because I’ve recently updated several modules (including the ACCM) for other reasons . And the customer no longer complained about battery drain. Often they indeed ”see what sticks “ based on feedback from us when we seek their assistance with stubborn problems. This is an intermittent problem that’s difficult to catch the drain in action because we’ll leave our test equipment on ALL DAY with no drain. Do it again the next day. Then the battery will randomly drain overnight when we’re not there. It’s likely some techs caught it in action and found the ACCM awake and causing drain. So ford concentrated the fix on that moduule. But they can’t be. 100% sure until we attempt the fix on hundreds of customer driven vehicles.So………….
Some will say “What the heck, might as well get it done. Can’t hurt!”
Are they right?
Can it hurt?
