From what I've read it doesn't seem like there was that many people scheduled and those that were scheduled are hybrids (thankfully!). There's a lot of talk about dealerships getting allocations, but they haven't translated into orders! Ford is great about maintaining COMSEC/OPSEC!

Yea, we got one! What a great email! Many thanks to Ford. They did well considering the supply and shipping problems. We want those Mavericks, but they want us to have them also. We feel we are fortunate that we are getting ours as soon as we are. We truly hope yours comes sooner than you expect also. Anyway, here is the info that hopefully will be encouraging to you. Ordered 7-6-21. Scheduled 11-18-21 for 1-10-22 build date. Included vin # and notified next email will provide estimated delivery to dealer (Chapman Ford Scottsdale Az) and how to check continual status. We are getting XL hybrid, with hitch, spray in liner, spare tire, and floor mats, Velocity Blue. Our best to our fellow”WAIT sufferers” and sincere hopes for early scheduling for each and everyone of you. Looks like I will get my Maverick before I turn 90( for real). Our only WAIT time now is to see if Chapman will treat us well on our trade in. We’ll let you know😜

Already got word from Chapman Ford in Scottsdale Az. They have been wonderful to deal WITH - again. They are treating us well on our trade in - so happy with the whole deal. It's always good to hear about a dealership treating customers well! There's too many horror stories of customers not getting good treatment. 😐

If you mean Tim the FordVideoGuy, he is anything but typical. Tim has been keeping us informed for months and who else out there is doing that so consistently and so well?

I’m right there with you on the down payment. I owe a couple of years on my Tacoma so each month that passes, the less I owe, and the more equity I can apply to the Maverick. Hopefully the value of my Tacoma will remain steady over the next several months. The ordering process will allow me to get more money by selling directly vs. losing 2-3k on a trade. I just have to be patient.
I'm trading my Tacoma too - Hate the transmission.. I'm afraid the bottom is going to fall out of the market for used Tacomas. I'll make a bet a LOT of people are trading. Toyota is going to take a big hit.

I originally ordered in Aug and I still have not heard from that dealership about that truck. So I went to a different dealership that just reopened with a new owner and the next day I placed my order I got my email with a production date.

Likely allocations. He was first in line at that new dealer, and probably was back of the line for the others.

Every week Ford does a round robin across alll dealers and picks one vehicle from each dealer, then goes back around till they run out of slots or parts.

Each dealer has a monthly allocation and their own priority. When the round robin comes to that dealer, they get to use one of their allocations and the first in line gets picked.

The build and availability from ford decides who gets to get in line this week, and the dealers priority codes decide what order that line is in.

There is more nuance but that is why a June order at a dealer with 100 orders has to wait, while a November order at a dealer with 2 can get picked.
