A pass through in a pickup is different than the opening of a wagon or SUV for exhaust entry. With a wagon, the exhaust is dumped into the area behind the vehicle where the air swirls around and it is easily drawn in through the window. With a pickup, the air flow over the cab would prevent the exhaust from being drawn to the pass through.I always wondered how they prevent the backdraft of exhaust fumes into the cabin on those Silverados? On station wagons and hatchbacks you aren't supposed to drive with the hatch open because carbon monoxide can get pulled into the cabin![]()
