Bringing this old thread to life for an update (I am not the OP). Autoline Daily today reported that Auto Forecast Solutions claims a 2031 date for the Maverick redesign. That kind of makes sense to me historically, because the older generation Rangers went two decades with only minor refreshes. Ford just milked that platform until they killed it off in 2011 (I think that's when the old Ranger died).

That would mean a second refresh for the 28 model year. I have also heard that 2031 is the redesign date. I also heard the Ranger will probably get a hybrid system for the 27 model year.

Hopefully they will take the opportunity to correct so short comings, the 2 that come to mind are the annoying dial shifter as well as adopting counter acting wipers to replace the current system that never looks like they are fully down.
