It could most likely be done on the Maverick but for a vehicle under $22k not so much. This is a capable vehicle for what it is but an Avalanche that is 8 years old with close to 100k in miles cost the same as a brand new Maverick. The base price would jump up a good $5k I would think or more.

Wow that Breezer is cool. If one of the cap companies get on their stuff and we put in a Breezer then my pups would be set up in back!
Exactly what I was thinking, if the boot between cap and cab were good. Not just pups but al manner of things could pass through.

We had this revelation this week —

Our first major mod is installing DIY bedrails. We went to Home Depot to pick up the materials, incuding the strut channels, which come in 10-ft lengths. (or 2ft, but we want 3ft rails.)

We assumed HD would cut them to size for us… but alas, they stopped offering this service.

So the irony is that we couldn’t haul home a single 10-ft piece of strut channel for our truck in our truck.

But we managed to get it in our Subaru Forester by putting it forward into the passenger footwell, then diagonally back into the hatch. Just fit.

Of course, we could have hooked up our utility trailer to the Mav and hauled it home in that… if we had gotten around to getting a hitch and ball that fit the hitch receiver. (Our previous tow vehicle — another Forester — had a smaller reciever.)

Haven’t gotten my Maverick yet but if the next model has this feature I’ll immediately trade it in. I always wondered why they didn’t do this on the Mav. I’m sure we’ll see it down the road at some point

I would like that. A lot. Awhile ago I saw
Will that work with the antenna?
Yes but better if you get a shark fin

I doubt it would be a popular enough option to justify the extra cost. You'd have to lose the back seat as currently configured and most people buying the truck for a budget people mover could care less about shoving long stuff into the cab. In fact anyone knowingly buying a Mav with a 4.5' bed would have no use for the pass through IMO. Hauling longer stuff would be a distant thought to most..
Not to me. I'm considering the Berezzer pass through window with a topper on back for camping. And bigger loads.

How about strapping them to the roof? The Maverick is longer than 10' from bumper to bumper, no?

Wish ford would just make a old school station wagon on a hybrid Maverick model. With fold down rear facing seats and fold in the floor 2nd row. Like a van but not as tall.
I know suvs where supposed to replace that roll but the seats are not good for truck like tasks.

My Captiva could fit 8 footers. They went to the dash and couldn't get a lot of them. Sometimes I would sling them on the side. A sling from the hood hinge and on from the roof rack support. Dont know how that would go with the thin steel though.

Once fit a queen sized IKEA bed in a Prius. Was hard to shift drive modes with the rails reaching the front air vents, but it all fit somehow.
