  1. Put truck in a bikini

My mind went to the bikini top I had for my Jeep Wrangler.
  2. Just wondering if this could be done.

We had an Escape before the Maverick. Just after we got the Maverick I logged into the Ford Pass app and could see both. Followed the Escape for about a month till they sold it. Someone from the dealership has driven a fair amount as it was used for about a 100 mile commute!
  3. 2025 lariat map data update

I had an experiance where the Ford navigation suggested the moat direct route and Google took me on a 2 hour detour. I checked on the highways website and it turns out that there had been a rock slide and the direct route was closed. It remained that way for over a week. (Still a 4 lane road is...
  4. Does remote start time get counted for mileage?

We had a 2022 Escape Hybrid before we bought our Maverick. It did not count startup idle time in "This Trip" mileage. But our 2025 Maverick Hybrid does. We start it and see 2.4 mpg. Soon as you start moving (ie actually putting miles on the figure gets better usually settling at 40mpg by the...
  5. Coming from car - will I miss trunk?

We went from a small SUV (Ford Escape Hybrid) to our 2025 AWD Maverick Hybrid. Added a folding tonneau. It ia actually as secure as the SUV was AND with the SUV you could see what was in the back through the windows. The Maverick? Out of sight out of mind!
  6. Gas needed for Las Vegas to Kingman?

Used to run a gas station. Had a customer who would always buy just enough gas to get to a town 20 miles away. Because gas was 10 cents a gallon less. And this was the only reason he was going. He couldn't figure out that he was burning more in gas than he was saving to do the trip not even...
  7. Vehicle not locking? Vehicle Unlocking on its own?.

Read an article the other day about "bad guys" with readers being able to clone the signal of your fob. They pick up the signal when you lock ghe door and open when you're gone. Worst art is that they steal your stuff without damaging the vehicle. The article related the person whose vehicle...
  8. SLATE Truck Debut! Convertible From Pickup to SUV. Priced Under $20K With Federal Incentive

The whole reason I purchased the Maverick is that it isn't an EV. Not that I have a problem with electric vehicles as such but they don't work for me. Where I live (15 miles out of a town of 1500 with 2 chargers) there isn't enough electric supply to the area to support home EV charging. I...
  9. Obligatory farewell post

We went to look at the Maverick in 22 but ghe didn't have the AWD Hybrid we were looking for so we bought an Escape AWD Hybrid! Flash forward to 2025 and Ford brings out the AWD Hybrid Maverick do we ended up with the truck we originally wanted. It's even the same color as the Escape!
  10. Storage?

Use a battery maintainer rather than a charger. They are designed to keep the battery at its peak without over charging. Some chargers have a maintenance mode built in. Also batteries are not the same as our father's had. An lead acid needs a different charging profile than a AGM and a...
  11. Next gen Maverick should have pass through from bed to back of cab

Last pickup we had was a Chevy Avalanche. We hardly ever used the midgate. Never again. It leaked, the seal got filled with dirt. We brought home a load of dirt and the inside the rhe truck smelled for weeks. The only advantage was that when it was raining I could fit a 4×8 sheet in the...
  12. Blinking red light

The only vehicles I have had with a blinking light were the ones I added an aftermarket security system to. Except my motorcycle which blinks forv24 hours then shuts down to persevere the battery.
  13. Ordered a 25' Lariat Hybrid , Having second thoughts ...

Wait for the hybrid. We have about 70 mile round trip we take several times a week. Now that the weather is warming up and ghectruck is breaking in we are getting better mileage. You mentioned "new" technology. The Maverick us based on the same chassis as the Escape. The Escspe has had a...
  14. 2025 Lariat Hybrid "Shadow"

We also traded an Escape in on our Maverick. Color? We didn't want to factory order so we had our dealer look at local dealers for what we wanted. The one closest to what we were looking for was....the same Carbonized Grey that our Escape was! One of our neighbors didn't realize we had a new...
  15. New Logo Bone-Head Award

I have long thought that logo redesign, new marketing, upper management levels etc are just people justifying their over inflated pay checks. The team responsible for changes like this cost way too much money for what the public wants/needs. I would rather have Fords original logo and a...
  16. Here's the bed option i want

Don't know what all the fuss is about. My 2005 Chev Avalanche had a mid gate like this. It was handy but leaked as it got older. Had a smell of dirt in the truck after moving some dirt for the garden. The seals were full of dirt. And hard to clean
  17. Maverick TV Ads

Haven't seen any Maverick ads but then I don't watch much TV. Stream and bypass ads. But my YouTube!!! Still no Maverick ads but even second ad is from Ford flogging the F150 Lighting and the (it isn't really a) Mustang Mach E. The Maverick ads I see are all fot accessories I looked for on...
  18. Hard roll up Tonneau cover

Fellow Canadian here. I looked at the Roll ups. Biggest issue I se is my wife is short and if you block ½ the rear window she wouldn't be able to see out with the mirror. I went with the Bison Flip Back. Unlike other tonneaus it fits. Ordered one from another manufacturer. It was too long by a...
  19. Took the Maverick to Lowes, made some unexpected purchases. The rear window came in handy. Next time I’ll take my F150.

Myself I would have used the ½ way position of the tailgate and strapped the load in with a flag at the end. I would put things like lumber through the window as a last resort. Red flag for the end of yhe load is way cheaper than damaged caused to the window and interior surfaces.
