I think it would eliminate the underseat storage. On the hybrid the battery is there. To much to change for an optional item, but could have been planned ahead. But that thinking doesnt scream $19,995. Could be for the $23,995 2024 refresh though?

Just was looking at the Breezer website and they have Maverick listed as an option for $499
Both pictures they have on the Maverick options are generic and you can't get an idea of the shape of the actual edge. Both are different shapes and not correct for the Mav. It's why I tried to get ahold of them but got no response.
I've never heard of the breezer but I like it. Do you have to find someone to install it or is that cost built in somehow?
They have a good youtube video on how to install. Though it would be smart to have a body shop install it if you are not comfortable with it.

While it seems like a cool idea, I'd hate to be out with something in the bed and get hit by a freak rain storm or something. Not to mention it's just something else to leak, no thanks! Same reason I won't get a sunroof/moonroof in a vehicle.

Wow that Breezer is cool. If one of the cap companies get on their stuff and we put in a Breezer then my pups would be set up in back!

i think it was be less likely to leak than a moon roof. I would assume its like side doors that have channels that allow any water that gets in a chance to get out. but yeah didn't think of the weather part

Understand your concern. Interestingly, I've had 5 different vehicles with moon roofs and none of them leaked...except when I left one open on a brand new 2003 Sonoma ZRX, went upstairs to my office, got a cup of coffee, walked by a window and yep, it was raining. Left work and went to the car wash with a good vacuum. Stupidity overcomes engineering every time.

My last few vehicles have been compact crossovers, specifically Honda CR-Vs. I'm discovering the limitations of the Maverick's configuration when I run to Home Depot to pick up the odd piece of lumber or millwork. I could easily fit a handful of 8 foot long 2x4s or moulding pieces in my CR-V. It's a bit of a hassle in the Maverick. Although I don't have to transport longer items often, I'm all about utility, so a configuration like this would be great in my opinion. Sadly, I don't think Ford will offer it.

In the mean time, I'll just have to remember to take my Honda Element when I need to pick up lumber and the like...that vehicle can swallow a whale with room for a small pod of dolphins!

I’ve thought about that too, my plan is to use the much needed rear sliding window or get a $150 hitch bed extender from Amazon.
But I hear yah, long trim pieces are a concern of mine but then again I’ve fit them in my Nissan Sentra so I’ll figure something out with the Maverick I’m sure 😂

Seems easier to just rent a uhaul car trailer for the one time every other year you need to haul something long.

Or just buy a real truck to do real truck things!

F150s can't even fit these. I just used my dad's f150 with an 8 foot bed and still had the 16 footer out the back... maverick with the hitch extender should do the job!

But yeah one day maybe I'll get the F150 king ranch like i want lol

Haven’t gotten my Maverick yet but if the next model has this feature I’ll immediately trade it in. I always wondered why they didn’t do this on the Mav. I’m sure we’ll see it down the road at some point

Nice ... I see you are Chevy guy.
I am not a Chevy guy...
I am not a Ford guy...
I am not RAM guy...
I am not a GMC guy...

...but I am a 2022 Maverick XLT Hybrid guy...don't care much about the Ford name...

...It is just what I want !! I just don't understand why ???

It is small like a midget and does all the things I like. A small truck.
