With Ford replacing the spray in with a drop in on new lux package orders, does anyone know if the flex bed slots for 2x4 and 2x6 boards are still usable? Also any of the tie down points lost?

It's included with the Lux package now, rather than the spray-in, you cannot just return it. You cannot order the XLT Lux package the spray-in anymore, Ford won't take the order. Just live with the drop in and put a spay in liner on when it's toast, that's likely what I'll do.Drop-ins suck, get a refund on the liner and put towards a spray in. Have had both over the years and will never use a drop in again, would rather roll with a sheet of plywood or a rubber matt.
The problem with drop in plastic liners is they are abrasive to the paint and trap moisture underneath promoting rust. I doubt there is much that can be done with the design to change that. For all I know they might be
made better than they used to be as well.
Even more reason to get a bed cover. The problem with drop in plastic liners is they are abrasive to the paint and trap moisture underneath promoting rust. I doubt there is much that can be done with the design to change that.
A bed cover might help minimally but it doesn't solve the problem. The abrasion comes from vibration where the liner contacts the truck bed and moisture can be condensation that doesn't evaporate.Even more reason to get a bed cover.
Guess I'll have to get an aftermarket spray-in liner, don't want to have the bed rusting out, my vehicle is always parked outdoors.A bed cover might help minimally but it doesn't solve the problem. The only real advantage to a drop in is it gives better protection from dents do to dropped and shifting loads.Guess I'll have to get an aftermarket spray-in liner, don't want to have the bed rusting out, my vehicle is always parked outdoors.
