10' load
A 2X4 piece of dunnage and a piece of lath levels it out for longer loads. I would imagine I am overloaded with the full load but nothing creaked, buckled or broke. Pretty impressive how it handled with the full load actually.
Maybe pushing it a little? 35 2X6 10' and 35 2X4 10'
Looks a bit silly... and I got some strange looks... But it handled it fine. I do larger loads in my Ram 1500 and the Mav has a higher payload.
Here are some questions you should be asking yourself before investing in Ford.
What is your time horizon?
What is Ford's valuation compared to its competition?
Are current industry valuations justified?
Is the gap in EV startup valuations to legacy automakers justified?
What is your...
Who's crying? If you are so mature why do post garbage on a technical forum that looks like it belongs on video game chat board?
Not a recall issue and it was never posted as one. OP would like to make his truck more functional for their use case. Maybe a cool trick gets figured out we can all...
If one could run the OE wires to a switch/jack and a second camera with a whip, you could put it on a longer wire and a magnet that could be mounted anywhere when needed.
Just put a jack and switch on the left power panel/cover plate/cubby blank
This is my first backup camera on a truck. I use my mirrors but I like the feature. I do know now why people all of the sudden started boxing be in on my street in the last few years, however! It takes some time to figure out the distance and leave enough space for the car behind you.
My only complaint is that while I waited for my truck I watched way too many Youtube videos showing me the same amazing features like an f'ing infomercial. Most of them so far have been gimmicks that do not work. Yes this is my fault for not having a social life during covid-19.
Personally, i would not use auto body paint. It will chip and is not easy to repair.
I might suggest black (I know it's boring) since there are so many black accents on the truck and a lot of rattle can options in black. If you use VHT roll bar paint it does a really nice job and can be...
Can't remember where I saw this but the cables are way way over rated for the application and they do not stretch under any loads that they would see in normal use. The 3/16" cable and crimped fastener are pretty standard across all trucks. I would think the tailgate would fail first.
Yeah, my first thought/comment was that it looks like too many moving parts to me. When cocked in the mid position it would be the weakest. I will likely put them to the test if nothing else is available, however.
I agree, however it is a utilitarian vehicle. If it adds function and that is you goal then good for you. If you are a form over function person I do not think that the Maverick is a good "Overlanding" look and will never function great as such either.
