It's 22-24 XL and XLTs. 24 Lariat's are not effected, for 2022/2023 Lariats I believe the stock system is effected, but if you upgraded to sync3(part of the luxary package I believe?) it's not.

You can go to the NHTSA site and check for open recalls by your VIN
2023 Lariat with Sync3. I will have to check NHTSA to be sure.

if you have sync3 then that'd explain why you don't have a recall notice for this. it only effects the basic infotainment system

Just had mine done on Wednesday (mobile service). Took about 20 minutes. Still noticed small freezes on the screen with the camera, but not as bad as it was. I haven't checked the settings, but the screen is much brighter. Can't remember ever changing it myself though.

Well.....technically that's kind of discouraging if you are STILL seeing small freezes. You should see NO freezes with the fix. Mine hasn't been fixed and I do occasionally see small freezes and glitches. I can definitely live without getting the fix. BUT...If I got a "fix" on a recall.....I would want it to work like it should. My 2022 250 NEVER freezes or blacks out.

Lariats could be affected if they don't have the Luxury Package.

I just had my 24 XLT updated at the local Ford dealer. While it took much longer than anticipated - not sure why that would be given where IT technology is today - but it got done about 3 + hours after hand off to a tech.

Nothing bad to say about the fix. In fact, I have a wireless CarPlay adapter and since the update this morning CarPlay has been starting up much more promptly than in the past. Hopefully this is a permanent change in behavior.
I'm seeing anywhere from 30 minutes to a couple hours. I can say in a 8 hours day we are getting at least 12 done.

They are coming to my house on Tuesday. I thought about asking the tech if he could bump up my target state of charge while he is here, but probably not something he would do.

Called my dealer to schedule. They said not to have the recall done unless I was having a problem because if I had it done now and the problem showed up later, I could not have it fixed under the recall. Sounds wrong.

I'm scheduled for Monday. Could be first one at local dealer - fingers crossed.

Been avoiding dealers/recalls since I bought, so all recalls to be done now, [hopefully] so I only have to reprogram my ACC once...

I called last week about this; got an appointment for today (3/17) and dropped it off this morning. I will update when I get it back.
I was experiencing intermittent freezes on the camera.

I had this done with the mobile service while at work, took about an hour.
Opened the Ford app to check oil life and saw the notice about the Seat Belt recall.. I figure thats one i will have to actually schedule and drop off which is annoying...

Yeah, that sounds VERY wrong. I'd ask for that one in writing on dealership letterhead. My guess is their tune will change once they need to put their name to it since they are legally obligated to perform the necessary repairs for a recall. (Or you can call Ford itself about this, or file a complaint with the NTSA, my guess is they will claim it was a miscommunication and schedule you in).

If the recall doesn't fix the problem, they would have to perform another recall. See the ford Maverick Instrument cluster display recall. Some vehicles didn't receive the proper software update, so this Month Ford released a 2nd recall for some of the Mavericks from the first one.

Your dealer is wrong. Time to escalate to service manager or choose another dealer. Lots of Them out there to choose from.
