So, for the terminally unhandy, do these ladders (A) fit existing screw holes in the tailgate or (B) do I have to breakout power tools and measure?
Hoping for A, dreading B.
I called last week about this; got an appointment for today (3/17) and dropped it off this morning. I will update when I get it back.
I was experiencing intermittent freezes on the camera.
2023 XLT Lux Hybrid with 12,014 miles at 12 months getting around 41mpg. Zero issues; I've had both recalls done without issue. Mostly used on <50-mile trips but have done several over 1K round trip. Very comfortable.
My first pickup. Enjoyable little truck very handy for HD trips and general...
I got nickel and dimed by my original dealer. When it came time for me to review them, they tried to hand me a prewritten review. After "hell no" , I explained that their review would be entirely based on how much they were willing to pay for it. $0 = 0 review.
So, based on feed back, I have renamed to thread to reflect my current status.
I do appreciate the constructive feedback about where to look... I dont use YouTube so never thought to look there..
Looks easy enough and the modules that I am interested in changing have been tried before.
I see many things that can be accomplished with FORSCAN that seem to be handy/useful.... However, I neither have nor now how to operate the equipment. So, for the unhandy among us:
A. How difficult is it to learn to use?
B. How expensive is the equipment? Is it Harbor freight level or Ford...
I would move the hooks higher after having them awhile. They are adequate at best at that height.
I went out and measured. It was originally a 2x10 that I ripped down to 9”. The notches were necessary to enable the divider to rotate in/out of the channel. I would not recommend going over 9” in...
Notched 2X8 (might be 2x10) with hooks on this side and tie-down rings on the back. Used some leftover pipe insulation on the bottom and ends to eliminate rattle. Hooks double as handles to remove/insert.
The actual calibration is done with a tablet like tool that plugs into the port under the dash. The tech runs through a menu and makes a couple of height measurements inputs them and is done. Takes about 10-15 minutes followed by a 5 minute check ride to verify. I am not a technical car guy...
Sorry meant to mention that.
I went on line and asked for a quote, then left without scheduling service. Within 12 hours I had a code for $150 off which the local vendor had to honor.
Also, the final price is $776; the $50 fee for mobile service was waived as I had to reschedule my appointment...
SO. had the windshield replaced today at my house. 35 degrees and sunny. Good job good service by Safelite. NOT OEM glass. Tech did the recalibration and test drove it. Reasonable price overall, but the recalibration cost more than the glass. By a lot.
You do have to let it sit for a...
I had the reprogram done today. In at 930 and out at 1016. No muss, no fuss. Either your dealer doesn't want to do the work or someone's not telling you something.
Used a 2X6: Notched both top corners to help getting it in/out of the bed. Used some coat hooks on one side and tie-down rings on the back for flexibility in carrying items. Placed pipe insulation on the bottom and side to stop any rattles.
