I've worked on projects before where we need constant 12V power with no drain on battery. We would put cables on and hook up to another battery or jump box to keep power constant during procedure. I'm assuming a dealer could accomplish this task also? Not rocket science. It needs to be charged up enough for it to be on for 1 hour that the FDRS needs to perform the software update.
You will have to redo your ACM, APIM forscan changes for sureI'm in no rush, I'll wait for others to post their results. Plus, I'll more than likely have to redo my Forscan changes.![]()
I went over the repair instructions on tonight's livestream. Battery only needs to have a good battery health reading.I've worked on projects before where we need constant 12V power with no drain on battery. I had several updates done in my driveway and the tech put 13 volts on the jump pins to ensure that load shedding did not occur during the updates and they took less than 30 minutes. It needs to be charged up enough for it to be on for 1 hour that the FDRS needs to perform the software update.
Great news. I'm sure our service department told our manager what it took on the first one. I'm sure it doesn't take as long once they have done a few. Please be specific on which battery. I assume you are referring to the 12v battery.I went over the repair instructions on tonight's livestream. Battery only needs to have a good battery health reading.
I guess they got tired of paying that fineThe recall fix is out and here are some facts you need to know about it. Before the recall can be performed, your battery needs to be at 100% charge. The recall takes 1 hour to perform using the FDRS tool. With this in mind, give your dealer time to perform them and schedule them. We will be 2 weeks out to schedule one at our dealership because we have 86 Mavericks that will need to be done first. These can be done via mobile service, which we will be able to do for our customers within 30 miles of the dealership.
I will doing a video for our Maverick Monday video series going over this and our 2024 Maverick inventory that now is available to sell as of today.
Whatever battery you have. The battery doesn't matter for the frozen camera recall. Please be specific on which battery. I assume you are referring to the 12v battery.
Why not?I got the recall notification a while back but have experienced no problems, should I still look to have this done?
For now.Just had it done at my house in about 90 minutes. Updated some other stuff I had not had done. I backed out of driveway and when I put in gear, it instantly froze!!! (Had never froze before!) Cussed and fumed and almost panicked but reminded myself it’s a software upgrade so I shut everything down and rebooted it. It came on and looks sharper to me too. All’s well that ends well![]()
