I sent my factory fill oil for Blackstone analysis, I did it at 50% oil life which was around 6000 miles with typical new engine results. I just did my 3rd oil change and sent my second in for an analysis, it was at 19% oil life and just over 9000 miles. I decided to cut open the oil filter to see in there was any "stuff" visible in the pleats, and despite being on the recall list my filter was super clean with basically no visible metals. Ford factory filter.

new Blackstone oil analysis the first one was the factory fill. This is from the second oil change same as the filter pic above.

Add me to the long block replacement crew. Had my 22' Lariat Hybrid since 04/20/22 and just hit 101,000 mi (long commutes). The car has been running perfectly aside of having to have my axles replaced for vibrations a year ago.

Pulling out of my driveway, the check engine light came on and with it, reduced power. I'm thankful I didn't experience this while driving on the highway, which is 90% of my drives.

Dropped it off at the dealership yesterday and they mentioned I will be getting a new engine and that cars are covered up to 150,000.

I'm so nervous about having to deal with this again in the future, as this is a one-time replacement. I hope that the re-manned engine has been modified to prevent whatever degradation issue this one apparently was causing.

I can see how one would still be anxious about a re-occurrence. I'm thinking a good law firm would be able to argue a case against Ford if it did happen again. After all, the problem did not get solved.

no, a loaner is not included by Ford Motor Company in this program.

your dealership might give you a loaner. you can ask, but they're under no obligation to provide one. yep, that would suck.

you can get rental coverage on your car insurance. make sure it's actually useful as defined in the policy. some coverage is so short/limited it wouldn't help you if your truck was down more than a few days.
Just checked my Rental Coverage with State Farm. Only applies if the vehicle is down for something covered by the comprehensive/collision, basically an accident.

My 2022 Hybrid just went into limp mode this morning with Powertrain Malfunction/Reduced Power notice in the Ford app, and Code P1061 . Can't get into a dealer appointment until Tuesday.

Any update? What did the dealer find out?

Engine replacement was finished yesterday. They are finishing the airbag recall.

Picking it up tomorrow is the plan. Said they would do a "QC" check and make sure everything is good.

Today is 1 month since the Service Engine/Limp mode. Thankfully they gave me a 2025 Bronco Sport loaner.

Regarding Ford not supplying a loaner for this recall. Ford told me they Would reimburse me $45/day for a car and $65/day for a truck, until it was finished if I rented a vehicle myself.

I will say, use the Ford app to have the truck towed if in this situation.
Ford created a case and has been regularly calling me and the dealer.
Likely what caused them to "have" a loaner, when at first the dealer said they did not.

I had my engine replaced within 2 weeks on the dot. Car seems to be driving as it was before, perfectly fine. No noticeable difference.

Looks like they'll be keeping my Maverick longer now.

They did the airbag recall, never had it done after reading stories on here, now they say the Cruise Control module is not communicating with the truck And the key doesn't either.
Both things that were working fine before.

Hopefully they get it sorted soon, and no further issues. Thanks for the update, definitely not getting my airbags done.

Cheers.

Bill Knight Ford.

He said they've done many of the airbag recalls without a problem. So they are not sure if it's related to that or the Engine Replacement, which doesn't seem likely.

Good News! Got my Maverick back.
Everything working properly so far.

As suspected, the issues with the key and Camera fault were caused by the airbag recall. A connector was not properly reinstalled.

So a total of 35 days at the dealer, a week longer due to the airbag recall issues.

Though, I thought this was for a "new" engine replacement, the paperwork says
"Corrected by Service Engine Assembly FR(Ford Remanufactured Engine) OEM Long Block Replacement.

I didn't know that, but I'm sure there's the necessary verbiage in the legal descriptions of the factory warranty that allow for this.

was it this part # or a different one?

Yes. LX6Z 6006 A
If it doesn't have -RM, as in xxx 6006 -ARM, that RM indicates ReManufactured -- so this appears to be a new long block assembly...
