I need a robot to lower my tailgate. I`m just that damn lazy.So hereās what I did today. I wasnāt crazy about having to lose one of the tie downs when I installed the tail gate assist so I went and built ones that will fit and work with the assist. Only needed one but it would have drove me crazy having them mismatched, So I made 2. Made them out of stainless but Iāll probably powder coat them black so they donāt stand out as much.
Im glad someone understands. $20 is no where near profitable.Looks like 2 pieces and a weld, so, only way to make these with any sort of repetition is laser cut and press brake. Then thereās gotta be a fixture and welding. Then powdercoat.
all you guys saying $20/pair, sure in China. Thatās probably a $40-50/pair at retail. Probably a realistic cost of $20, Plus finishing/pair if you were making 100+ pairs at a time.
Iāve done a fair bit of small batch manufacturing, shipped over 400 portable firepits out of my garage before the company got big enough to make me either quit my job or sell and keep it going. I sold.

Figure out what would be and let us know!Im glad someone understands. $20 is no where near profitable.
Yeah. I went through this with billet aluminum accessories for Ducati Monsters. Ok if you need a hobby, but no way to make money.Im glad someone understands. $20 is no where near profitable.
if you wear Reef flip flops, they have a bottle opener built in to the soles...Very nice! But.....what about Ford's all important bottle opener????
