It’s technically made by DeeZee. You can check their website. But I think it’s the same cost. Are there any after market companies making these shocks ??
Tks yea I saw that I was hoping not to spend $60.or so. Lol JimIt’s technically made by DeeZee. You can check their website. But I think it’s the same cost.
You can find prices in the range of $40-$45 online from Ford Parts Dealers like Fairway Ford and many others.Tks yea I saw that I was hoping not to spend $60.or so. Lol Jim
It sounds like you are thinking of it wrong. These are not lift helpers. They dont help the tailgate go up. They just help on the way down so it doesnt slam. It doesnt affect the two positions. I have one.Do these defeat the two tier tailgate positions.... full flat is one cable location and slightly elevated used higher cable connect points...if using the lift helpers and higher cable attach points cause the gate to want to go full up?
Levittown Ford also discounts.Paid $42 for mine from a cord dealer off ebay
Which ford dealer on ebayLevittown Ford also discounts.
I installed one and no fastener grinding required. It’s worth it. Something so small really makes the truck feel more premium. Will need to grind down or replace the tail light retention screw though
Im still confused as to how or why your install as different than others on the forum like myself that have installed it. My assist definitely rubbed against the screw. Anither guy brought up the issue with Deezee and they blamed it on Ford changing the final design Tsupposedly they added a screw? Their explanation sounded suspect).I installed one and no fastener grinding required.
